Luke 4 - DBY (Gujarati)

1 But Jesus, full of [the] Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit in the wildernessપવિત્ર આત્માથી ભરપૂર થઈને ઈસુ યર્દન નદીથી પાછો ફર્યો. પવિત્ર આત્મા તેને અરણ્યમાં દોરી ગયો.

2 forty days, tempted of the devil; and in those days he did not eat anything, and when they were finished he hungered.ત્યાં શેતાને 40 દિવસ સુધી તેનું પરીક્ષણ કર્યુ. તે સમય દરમ્યાન ઈસુએ કંઈ પણ ખાધું નહિ. દિવસો પૂરા થયા પછી ઈસુને ખૂબ ભૂખ લાગી.

3 And the devil said to him, If thou be Son of God, speak to this stone, that it become bread.શેતાને ઈસુને કહ્યું, “જો તું દેવનો દીકરો હોય તો આ પથ્થરને રોટલી બની જવા કહે.”

4 And Jesus answered unto him saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “ધર્મશાસ્ત્રમાં લખ્યું છે કે:‘માણસને જીવવા માટે ફક્ત રોટલીની જરૂર નથી.”‘ પુનર્નિયમ 8:3

5 And [the devil], leading him up into a high mountain, shewed him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time.પછી ઈસુને શેતાન એક ઊંચી જગ્યા પર લઈ ગયો અને એક જ પળમાં તેને જગતનાં બધાજ રાજ્યોનું દર્શન કરાવ્યું.

6 And the devil said to him, I will give thee all this power, and their glory; for it is given up to me, and to whomsoever I will I give it.શેતાને ઈસુને કહ્યું, “હું તને આ બધા રાજ્યોનો અધિકાર અને મહિમા આપીશ. આ સર્વસ્વ મારું છે. તેથી હું જેને આપવા ઈચ્છું તેને આપી શકું છું.

7 If therefore *thou* wilt do homage before me, all [of it] shall be thine.જો તું ફક્ત મારું જ ભજન કરીશ તો એ સર્વસ્વ તારું થઈ જશે.”

8 And Jesus answering him said, It is written, Thou shalt do homage to [the] Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve.ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “શાસ્ત્રોમાં લખ્યું છે તે પ્રમાણે: ‘તારે તારા દેવ પ્રભુનું ભજન કરવું જોઈએ. તારે એકલા તેની જ સેવા કરવી!”‘ પુનર્નિયમ 6:13

9 And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the edge of the temple, and said to him, If thou be Son of God, cast thyself down hence;પછી શેતાન ઈસુને યરૂશાલેમ લઈ ગયો. અને મંદિરની ઊંચી ટોચ પર લઈ ગયો અને તેણે ઈસુને કહ્યું, “જો તું દેવનો દીકરો હોય, તો અહીંથી હેઠળ પડ!

10 for it is written, He shall give charge to his angels concerning thee to keep thee;શાસ્ત્રોમાં લખ્યા મુજબ:‘દેવ તારું રક્ષણ કરવા માટે એના દૂતોને આજ્ઞા કરશે’ ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 91:11

11 and on [their] hands shall they bear thee, lest in any wise thou strike thy foot against a stone.અને એમ પણ લખ્યું છે કે:‘તેઓ તને પોતાના હાથોમાં એવી રીતે ઊંચકી લેશે કે જેથી તારો પગ ખડક પર અથડાશે નહિ.”‘ ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 91:12

12 And Jesus answering said to him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt [the] Lord thy God.ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો:“એ ઉપરાંત શાસ્ત્રમાં એવું પણ કહેલું છે કે: ‘તારે પ્રભુ તારા દેવનું પરીક્ષણ કરવું જોઈએ નહિ.”‘ પુનર્નિયમ 6:16

13 And the devil, having completed every temptation, departed from him for a time.શેતાને અનેક પ્રલોભનોથી દરેક રીતે ઈસુનું પરીક્ષણ કર્યા પછી યોગ્ય સમય આવે ત્યાં સુધી ઈસુને એકલો મૂકીને ત્યાંથી વિદાય લીધી.(માથ્થી 4:12-17; માર્ક 1:12- 13)

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee; and a rumour went out into the whole surrounding country about him;પછી પવિત્ર આત્માના પરાક્રમે ઈસુ ગાલીલ પાછો ફર્યો. ગાલીલની આજુબાજુના પ્રદેશમાં ઈસુની વાતો પ્રસરતી ગઇ.

15 and *he* taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.તેણે સભાસ્થાનોમાં ઉપદેશ આપવાનો આરંભ કર્યો. બધાજ લોકો ઈસુની પ્રશંસા કરવા લાગ્યા.

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he was brought up; and he entered, according to his custom, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.ઈસુ ઉછરીને જ્યાં મોટો થયો હતો તે નાસરેથ શહેરમાં આવ્યો. પોતાની રીત પ્રમાણે તે વિશ્રામવારે સભાસ્થાનમાં ગયો અને વાંચવા ઊભો થયો.

17 And [the] book of the prophet Esaias was given to him; and having unrolled the book he found the place where it was written,તેને યશાયા પ્રબોધકનું પુસ્તક વાંચવા માટે આપવામાં આવ્યું. તેણે પુસ્તક ઉઘાડ્યું અને આ ભાગ તેને મળ્યો જ્યાં આ લખ્યું હતું:

18 [The] Spirit of [the] Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach glad tidings to [the] poor; he has sent me to preach to captives deliverance, and to [the] blind sight, to send forth [the] crushed delivered,“પ્રભુનો આત્મા મારામાં સમાયેલો છે. પ્રભુએ જે લોકો પાસે કશું નથી એવા લોકોને સુવાર્તા આપવા, કેદીઓને તેમની મુક્તિ જાહેર કરવા, આંધળાઓને દષ્ટિ આપવા જેથી તેઓ ફરીથી જોઈ શકે તથા કચડાયેલા લોકોને મુક્ત કરવા મારો અભિષેક કર્યો છે.

19 to preach [the] acceptable year of [the] Lord.તથા તેની દયા બતાવવાનો પ્રભુનો સમય જાહેર કરવા મને મોકલ્યો છે.” યશાયા 61:1-2

20 And having rolled up the book, when he had delivered it up to the attendant, he sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon him.ત્યારબાદ પુસ્તક બંધ કરી, સેવકને પાછુ સોંપીને ઈસુ બેસી ગયો. સભાસ્થાનમાં બધાની નજર ઈસુ તરફ ઠરી રહી હતી.

21 And he began to say to them, To-day this scripture is fulfilled in your ears.ઈસુએ તેમની સમક્ષ બોલવાનો આરંભ કર્યો, તેણે કહ્યું, “તમારા સાંભળવામાં આવ્યું છે, તે પ્રમાણે આ ધર્મલેખ આજે સત્ય થયો છે!”

22 And all bore witness to him, and wondered at the words of grace which were coming out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this the son of Joseph?આ સાંભળીને બધાજ લોકો ઈસુની પ્રશંસા કરવા લાગ્યા, ઈસુની કૃપાથી ભરપૂર એવા શબ્દો સાંભળીને તેઓ અજાયબી પામ્યા. તે લોકોએ પૂછયું, “તે આવું કેવી રીતે બોલી શકે? એ તો માત્ર યૂસફનો દીકરો છે, કેમ ખરુંને?”

23 And he said to them, Ye will surely say to me this parable, Physician, heal thyself; whatsoever we have heard has taken place in Capernaum do here also in thine own country.ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું, “હું જાણું છું કે તમે મને આ જુની વાત જરુંરથી કહેશો: ‘વૈદ તું પોતે તારી સારવાર કર.’ તમે કહેશો કે ‘અમે સાંભળ્યું છે કે જે ચમત્કારો કફર-નહૂમમાં કર્યા છે તે તારા પોતાના વતનમાં શા માટે બતાવતો નથી!”‘

24 And he said, Verily I say to you, that no prophet is acceptable in his [own] country.પછી અસુએ કહ્યું, “હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું કોઈ પણ પ્રબોધક પોતાના જ શહેરમાં સ્વીકારતો નથી.

25 But of a truth I say to you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, so that a great famine came upon all the land,“હું જે કહું છું તે સાચું છે. એલિયાના સાડા ત્રણ વર્ષના સમયમાં ઈસ્ત્રાએલમાં બિલકુલ વરસાદ પડ્યો ન હતો. સમગ્ર દેશમાં દુકાળ હતો. ખાવાને અનાજ ક્યાંય મળતું ન હતું. ઈસ્ત્રાએલમાં તે સમયે ઘણી વિધવાઓને સહાયની આવશ્યકતા હતી.

26 and to none of them was Elias sent but to Sarepta of Sidonia, to a woman [that was] a widow.પરંતુ એલિયાને એ બધામાંથી કોઈની પણ પાસે મોકલવામાં આવ્યો નહોતો. પરંતુ સિદોનના સારફતની એક વિદેશી વિધવાને સહાય કરવા માટે તેને મોકલવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

27 And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed but Naaman the Syrian.“અને પ્રબોધક એલિયાના સમયમાં ઈસ્ત્રાએલમાં ઘણા કોઢના રોગીઓ હતા છતાં તેણે ફક્ત આરામી નામાનની સારવાર કરીને તેને સાજો કર્યો હતો.”

28 And they were all filled with rage in the synagogue, hearing these things;આ વાત સાંભળીને સભાસ્થાનમાંના શ્રોતાજનો ગુસ્સે થઈ ગયા.

29 and rising up they cast him forth out of the city, and led him up to the brow of the mountain upon which their city was built, so that they might throw him down the precipice;તે બધા ઊભા થઈ ગયા અને ઈસુને ગામની બહાર હાંકી કાઢ્યો. તેઓનું શહેર પહાડ ઉપર બાંધ્યું હતું, તેની ટોચ પર તેને લઈ ગયા, જેથી તેને ઘક્કો મારીને નીચે ખીણમાં હડસેલીને ગબડાવી શકાય.

30 but *he*, passing through the midst of them, went his way,છતાં ઈસુ તો ટોળાની વચમાં થઈને નીકળ્યો અને ચાલ્યો ગયો.

31 and descended to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbaths.ત્યારબાદ ઈસુ ગાલીલના એક કફર-નહૂમ શહેરમાં ગયો. અને વિશ્રામવારે લોકોને ઉપદેશ આપ્યો.

32 And they were astonished at his doctrine, for his word was with authority.તેઓ ઈસુના ઉપદેશથી આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા કેમ કે તેનું બોલવું અધિકારયુક્ત હતું.

33 And there was in the synagogue a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried with a loud voice,ત્યા સભાસ્થાનમાં એક માણસ હતો. તેને અશુધ્ધ આત્મા વળગેલો હતો. તેણે મોટા અવાજે બૂમો પાડી.

34 saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy [One] of God.“ઓ ઈસુ નાઝારી! તારે અમારી પાસેથી શું જોઈએ છે? શું તું અમારો સર્વનાશ કરવા અહીં આવ્યો છે? હું જાણું છું તું કોણ છે? તું દેવનો પવિત્ર છે.”

35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out from him. And the demon, having thrown him down into the midst, came out from him without doing him any injury.પરંતુ ઈસુએ તેને ચેતવણી આપી અને કહ્યું, “છાનો રહે! આ માણસમાંથી બહાર નીકળ.” પરંતુ અશુદ્ધ આત્માએ તે માણસને લોકોની હાજરીમાં જ તેને નીચે ફેંકી દીધો. તેને કોઈ પણ જાતની ઇજા કર્યા વિના તે તેનામાંથી બહાર નીકળી ગયો.

36 And astonishment came upon all, and they spoke to one another, saying, What word [is] this? for with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.આશ્ચર્યચકિત પામેલા લોકો એકબીજાને કહેવા લાગ્યા: “આનો અર્થ શું? આ માણસના શબ્દોમાં આ તે કેવો અધિકાર! અને તાકાત છે? કે અશુદ્ધ આત્માઓ પણ તેને આધીન થઈને બહાર નીકળી જાય છે.”

37 And a rumour went out into every place of the country round concerning him.બધાજ આજુબાજુના પ્રદેશમાં ઈસુ વિષેના સમાચાર વાયુવેગે પ્રસરી ગયા.

38 And rising up out of the synagogue, he entered into the house of Simon. But Simon's mother-in-law was suffering under a bad fever; and they asked him for her.પછી તે દિવસે ઈસુ સભાસ્થાનમાંથી સીધો સિમોનના ઘરે ગયો. ત્યાં સિમોનની સાસુ બિમાર હતી. તેને સખત તાવ હતો. તેથી તેઓએ તેને મદદરુંપ થવા ઈસુને વિનંતી કરી.

39 And standing over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her; and forthwith standing up she served them.ઈસુ તેની તદ્દન નજીક ઊભો રહ્યો, તાવને ધમકાવ્યો અને તેને છોડી જવા આજ્ઞા કરી. તેનો તાવ ઊતરી ગયો. પછી તે તરત જ ઊઠી અને ઊભી થઈને તેની સેવા કરવા લાગી.

40 And when the sun went down, all, as many as had persons sick with divers diseases, brought them to him, and having laid his hands on every one of them, he healed them;સંધ્યાકાળે ઘણા લોકો તેઓના માંદા મિત્રોને લઈને ઈસુ પાસે આવ્યા. તે બધા વિવિધ પ્રકારના રોગીઓ હતા. ઈસુએ દરેક માંદા માણસના માથે હાથ મૂક્યો અને તે સર્વને સાજા કર્યા.

41 and demons also went out from many, crying out and saying, *Thou* art the Son of God. And rebuking them, he suffered them not to speak, because they knew him to be the Christ.ઈસુની આજ્ઞાથી ઘણા લોકોમાંથી ભૂતો નીકાળ્યાં. તેઓ ઘાંટો પાડીને કહેતાં હતા કે, “તું દેવનો દીકરો છે.” પરંતુ ઈસુએ તે બધાને ખૂબ ધમકાવ્યા અને તેમને બોલવા દીધા નહિ. તેઓને ખબર હતી કે ઈસુ એ ખ્રિસ્ત છે.

42 And when it was day he went out, and went into a desert place, and the crowds sought after him, and came up to him, and [would have] kept him back that he should not go from them.બીજે દિવસે વહેલી સવારે ઈસુ અરણ્યમાં એકાંત માટે ચાલ્યો ગયો. લોકો તેને શોધતાં શોધતાં ત્યાં પણ આવી પહોંચ્યા. અને તેઓએ તેને છોડીને નહિ જવા ઘણું દબાણ કર્યુ.

43 But he said to them, I must needs announce the glad tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for for this I have been sent forth.પરંતુ ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું, “દેવના રાજ્યની સુવાર્તા મારે અન્ય શહેરોમાં પણ પહોંચાડવી જોઈએ. અને તે માટે જ મને મોકલવામા આવ્યો છે.”

44 And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.આમ ઈસુ યહૂદિયાના સભાસ્થાનોમાં ઉપદેશ પ્રગટ કરતો ફર્યો.
