Luke 14 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 And it came about that when he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees on the Sabbath, to have a meal, they were watching him.ઈસુ ફરોશીઓના અધિકારીઓમાંના એકને ઘરે વિશ્રામવારે તેમની સાથે ખાવા માટે ગયો. ત્યાં લોકો ઈસુને ખૂબ નજીકથી તાકી રહ્યાં હતા.

2 And a certain man was there who had a disease.જલંદરનો રોગવાળા માણસને ઈસુની આગળ ઊભો રાખ્યો હતો.

3 And Jesus, answering, said to the scribes and Pharisees, Is it right to make people well on the Sabbath or not?ઈસુએ શાસ્ત્રીઓને અને ફરોશીઓને કહ્યું, “વિશ્રામવારે સાજાં કરવું સારું છે કે ખરાબ?”

4 But they said nothing. And he made him well and sent him away.પણ તેઓએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો નહિ. તેથી ઈસુએ તે માણસને લક્ષમાં લીધો અને તેને સાજો કર્યો. પછી ઈસુએ તે માણસને મોકલી દીધો.

5 And he said to them, Which of you, whose ox or ass has got into a water-hole, will not straight away get him out on the Sabbath?ઈસુએ ફરોશીઓ અને શાસ્ત્રીઓને કહ્યું, “જો તમારો દીકરો અથવા કામ કરનાર પ્રાણી વિશ્રામવારે કૂવામાં પડે તો તમે તરત જ તેને બહાર કાઢશો.”

6 And they had no answer to that question.ઈસુએ જે કહ્યું તેની સામે ફરોશીઓ અને શાસ્ત્રીઓ કંઈ જ કહી શક્યા નહિ.

7 And he gave teaching in the form of a story to the guests who came to the feast, when he saw how they took the best seats; saying to them,પછી ઈસુનું ધ્યાન કેટલાએક મહેમાનો ઉત્તમ જગ્યાએ બેસવાની પસંદગી કરતા હતા તે તરફ ગયું, તેથી ઈસુએ તેઓને આ વાર્તા કહી;

8 When you get a request to come to a feast, do not take the best seat, for a more important man than you may be coming,“જ્યારે કોઈ માણસ તમને લગ્નમાં નિમંત્રણ આપે તો સૌથી મહત્વની બેઠક પર ના બેસો. તે માણસે કદાચ તમારા કરતાં વધારે મહત્વના માણસને નિમંત્રણ આપ્યું હોય.

9 And then the giver of the feast will come to you and say, Give your place to this man; and you, with shame, will have to take the lowest seat.અને જો તમે સૌથી મહત્વની બેઠક પર બેઠા હોય અને પછી જે માણસે તમને નિમંત્રણ આપ્યું હોય તે તમારી પાસે આવે અને કહે, ‘આ માણસને તારી બેઠક આપ.’ પછી તમે છેલ્લી જગ્યાએ જવાની શરૂઆત કરશો. અને તમે ખૂબ શરમિંદા બનશો.

10 But when you come, go and take the lowest seat, so that when the giver of the feast comes, he may say to you, Friend, come up higher; and then you will have honour in the eyes of all the others who are there.“તેથી માણસ જ્યારે તમને નિમંત્રણ આપે તો જે ઓછી મહત્વની હોય એ બેઠક પર બેસવા માટે જાઓ. પછા જે માણસે તમને નિમંત્રણ આપ્યું છે તે તમારી પાસે આવશે અને કહેશે, “મિત્ર, આ તરફ વધારે મહત્વની બેઠક પર આવ. પછી બીજા બધા મહેમાનો પણ તમને માન આપશે.

11 For every man who gives himself a high place will be put down, but he who takes a low place will be lifted up.પ્રત્યેક માણસ જે પોતાને અગત્યનો બનાવે છે. તેને નીચો કરવામાં આવશે. પણ જે માણસ પોતાને નીચો બનાવે છે તે મહત્વનો બને છે.”

12 And he said to the master of the house, When you give a feast, do not send for your friends and your brothers and your family or your neighbours who have wealth, for they may give a feast for you, and so you will get a reward.પછી ઈસુએ જે ફરોશીઓને નિમંત્રણ આપ્યું હતું તેને કહ્યું, “જ્યારે તું દિવસનું કે રાતનું ખાણું માટે નિમંત્રણ આપે ત્યારે તારા મિત્રો, ભાઈઓ, સબંધીઓ તથા પૈસાદાર પડોશીઓને જ ના આપ. કેમ કે બીજી કોઈ વાર તેઓ તને જમવા માટે નિમંત્રણ આપશે. ત્યારે તને તારો બદલો વાળી આપશે.

13 But when you give a feast, send for the poor and the blind and those who are broken in body:તેને બદલે જ્યારે તું મિજબાની આપે ત્યારે કૂબડા લોકોને, અપંગોને અને આંધળાઓને નિમંત્રણ આપ.

14 And you will have a blessing, because they will not be able to give you any payment, and you will get your reward when the upright come back from the dead.તેથી તું ધન્ય થશે, કારણ કે આ લોકો તને કશું પાછું આપી શકે તેમ નથી. તેઓની પાસે કંઈ નથી. પણ જ્યારે સારા લોકો મૃત્યુમાંથી ઊભા થશે ત્યારે તને બદલો આપવામાં આવશે.”(માથ્થી 22:1-10)

15 And, hearing these words, one of those who were at table with him said to him, Happy is the man who will be a guest in the kingdom of God.ઈસુ સાથે મેજ પર જમવા બેઠેલાઓમાંથી કોઈ એક માણસે આ વાત સાંભળી. તે માણસે ઈસુને કહ્યું, “દેવના રાજ્યમાં જે ભોજન કરશે તેને ધન્ય છે!”

16 And he said to them, A certain man gave a great feast, and sent word of it to a number of people.ઈસુએ તેને કહ્યું, “એક માણસે રાતનું મોટું ખાણું કર્યું. તે માણસે ઘણા લોકોને નિમંત્રણ આપ્યાં.

17 And when the time had come, he sent his servants to say to them, Come, for all things are now ready.જ્યારે જમવાનો સમય થયો ત્યારે તે માણસે તેના દાસને મહેમાનોને કહેવા મોકલ્યાં ‘કૃપા કરીને ચાલો! હવે બધું જ તૈયાર છે!’

18 And they all gave reasons why they were not able to come. The first said to him, I have got a new field, and it is necessary for me to go and see it: I am full of regret that I am unable to come.પરંતુ બધાજ મહેમાનોએ કહ્યું તેઓ આવી શકે નહિ. દરેક માણસે બહાનું કાઢયું. પહેલા માણસે કહ્યું; ‘મેં હમણાં જ ખેતર ખરીદ્યું છે, તેથી મારે ત્યાં જઇને જોવું જોઈએ. કૃપા કરી મને માફ કર.’

19 And another said, I have got some cattle, and I am going to make a test of them: I am full of regret that I am unable to come.બીજા એક માણસે કહ્યું: ‘મેં હમણાં જ પાંચ જોડ બળદ ખરીદ્યા છે, તેઓને પારખવા હું હમણાં જાઉં છું. મને માફ કર.’

20 And another said, I have been married, and so I am not able to come.ત્રીજા એક માણસે કહ્યું: ‘હમણા જ મારા લગ્ન થયા છે, હું આવી શકું તેમ નથી.’

21 And the servant came back and gave his master an account of these things. Then the master of the house was angry and said to the servant, Go out quickly into the streets of the town and get the poor, the blind, and those who are broken in body.“તેથી દાસ પાછો ફર્યો. તેણે તેના ઘરધણીને જે કંઈ બન્યું તે કહ્યું. પછી ઘરધણી ગુસ્સે થયો અને બોલ્યો, ‘જલ્દી જા! શહેરની શેરીઓ અને ગલીઓમાં જા, અપંગ, આંધળા અને લંગડા માણસોને અહીં તેડી લાવ.’

22 And the servant said, Lord, your orders have been done, and still there is room.“તે પછી દાસે તેને કહ્યું કે; ‘સાહેબ તેં મને જેમ કરવાનું કહ્યું તેમ મેં કર્યુ છતાં પણ હજુ ઘણા લોકો માટે જગ્યાઓ છે.’

23 And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the roads and the fields, and make them come in, so that my house may be full.ધણીએ દાસને કહ્યું કે; ‘રાજમાર્ગો અને ગામડાના રસ્તાઓ પર જા, ત્યાં જઇને લોકોને આગ્રહ કરીને આવવાનું કહે, હું ઈચ્છું છું કે મારું ઘર ભરાઇ જાય.

24 For I say to you that not one of those who were requested to come will have a taste of my feast.હું તને કહું છું કે મેં જે લોકોને પ્રથમ નિમંત્ર્યા હતા તેમાંથી કોઈ પણ ક્યારેય મારી સાથે જમશે નહિ!”‘

25 Now a great number of people went with him.ઈસુ સાથે ઘણા લોકો જતા હતા. ઈસુએ લોકોને કહ્યું,

26 And turning round, he said to them, If any man comes to me, and has not hate for his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and even for his life, he may not be my disciple.“જો કોઈ માણસ મારી પાસે આવે છે, પણ તેના પિતાને, માતાને, પત્નીને, બાળકોને, ભાઈઓને અથવા બહેનોને મારા કરતા વધારે પ્રેમ કરે છે, તો તે માણસ મારો શિષ્ય થઈ શકતો નથી. માણસ તેની જાતને જેટલો પ્રેમ કરે છે તેનાથી વધારે મને પ્રેમ કરતો હોવા જોઈએ!

27 Whoever does not take up his cross and come after me may not be my disciple.જ્યારે તે મારી પાછળ આવે છે ત્યારે તેને આપવામાં આવેલ વધસ્તંભ ઊંચકશે નહિ તો તે મારો શિષ્ય થઈ શકશે નહિ.

28 For which of you, desiring to put up a tower, does not first give much thought to the price, if he will have enough to make it complete?“જો તમે બુરજ બાંધવા ઈચ્છા રાખો તો, પહેલા બેસીને તેની કિંમત કેટલી થશે તે નક્કિ કરવી જોઈએ. મારી પાસે તે કામ પૂરું કરવા પૂરતા પૈસા છે કે કેમ તે જોવું જોઈએ.

29 For fear that if he makes a start and is not able to go on with it to the end, all who see it will be laughing at him,જો તમે તેમ નહિ કરો તો, તમે કામ તો શરું કરી શકશો, પણ તમે તે પૂરું કરી શકશો નહિ. અને જો તમે તે પૂરું નહિ કરી શકો, તો બધા લોકો જે જોતા હતા તેઓ તમારી મશ્કરી કરશે.

30 And saying, This man made a start at building and is not able to make it complete.તેઓ કહેશે; ‘આ માણસે બાંધવાનું તો શરૂ કર્યુ, પણ પૂરું કરી શક્યો નહિ!’

31 Or what king, going to war with another king, will not first take thought if he will be strong enough, with ten thousand men, to keep off him who comes against him with twenty thousand?“જો કોઈ રાજા બીજા રાજાની સામે લડાઇ કરવા જવાનો હશે તો પહેલા બેસીને આયોજન કરશે. જો રાજા પાસે ફક્ત 10,000 માણસો હશે તો તે એમ જોવાની યોજના કરશે કે તે બીજા રાજા પાસે 20,000 માણસો છે તેને હરાવી શકે તેમ છે કે કેમ?

32 Or while the other is still a great distance away, he sends representatives requesting conditions of peace.જો તે બીજા રાજાને હરાવી શકે નહિ, અને હજી તે રાજા ખૂબ દૂર હશે તો પછી તે કેટલાક માણસોને બીજા રાજાને કહેવા મોકલશે અને સમાધાન શાંતિ માટે પૂછશે.

33 And so whoever is not ready to give up all he has may not be my disciple.“તે જ રીતે તમારે બધાએ પહેલા યોજના કરવી જોઈએ, તમારે સર્વ વસ્તુઓનો ત્યાગ કરવો જોઈએ અને પછી મારી પાછળ આવો. જો તમે તેમ ના કરી શકો તો તમે મારા શિષ્ય થઈ શકતા નથી.

34 For salt is good, but if the taste goes from it, of what use is it?“મીઠું એ સારું છે પણ જો મીઠું તેનો ખારો સ્વાદ ગુમાવે તો પછી તેની કશી કિમંત રહેતી નથી. તમે તેને ફરી ખારું બનાવી શકતા નથી.

35 It is no good for the land or for the place of waste; no one has a use for it. He who has ears, let him give ear.તમે તેનો જમીનને માટે અથવા ખાતરને માટે પણ ઉપયોગ કરી શકતા નથી. લોકો તેને બહાર ફેંકી દે છે.‘જે લોકો મને સાંભળે છે તેમણે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળવું જોઈએ!’
