Leviticus 24:21
જે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ કોઈ પશુને માંરી નાખે તો તેણે નુકસાની ભરપાઈ કરવી, પણ જો કોઈ માંણસને માંરી નાખે તો તેને મૃત્યુદંડ આપવો.

| beast, a | בְהֵמָ֖ה | bĕhēmâ | veh-hay-MA |
| he shall restore | יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה | yĕšallĕmennâ | yeh-sha-leh-MEH-na |
| killeth that he and it: | וּמַכֵּ֥ה | ûmakkē | oo-ma-KAY |
| a man, | אָדָ֖ם | ʾādām | ah-DAHM |
| to put be shall he death. | יוּמָֽת׃ | yûmāt | yoo-MAHT |
