પછી યહોવાએ ગિદિયોનને કહ્યું, “જીમથી પાણી પીનારા માંણસોની સંખ્યા 300 છે. આ 300 માંણસ દ્વારા હું તને જીત અપાવીશ અને મિદ્યાનીઓને તારા હાથમાં સોંપી દઈશ; બાકીના બધા સૈનિકો પોતપોતાને ઘરે પાછા જાય.”
