Judges 18:28
ત્યાં એ લોકોને મદદ કરે એવું કોઈ ન હતું. કારણ કે તેઓ નગર સિદોનથી ધણા દૂર હતા અને તેઓને અરામના લોકો સાથે કોઈ સંબધ નહોતો, લાઈશ એ બેથ-રહોબના એક ભાગમાં ખીણમાં આવેલું હતું. દાનકુળસમહોએ ફરી તે નગર બાંધવાનું શરૂ કર્યુ અને ત્યાં વસવાટ કર્યો.

તેથી તે પાંચ જણ ત્યાંથી નીકળીને ‘લાઈશ’ પહોચ્યા. ત્યાં તેમણે જોયું તો લોકો સિદોનના લોકોના શાસન હેઠળ નિશ્ચિંત જીવન ગાળતા હતાં. તે લોકોને શાંતિ હતી અને કોઈ ચિંતા નહોતી તેઓ એકબીજા સાથે ઝગડો કરતા ન હતાં, અત્યાચાર કરનાર કોઈ ન હતાં. તેઓ સિદોનીના લોકોથી ખૂબ દૂર રહેતા હતાં અને તેઓએ કોઈની પણ સાથે કોઈ કરાર કર્યા ન હતાં.

તે દિવસોમાં ઈસ્રાએલમાં કોઈ રાજા ન હતો અને દાનકુળસમૂહના લોકો સ્થાયી થવા માંટે સ્થળ શોધી રહ્યાં હતાં. કારણ કે તેઓને પ્રદેશનો એક ભાગ ઈસ્રાએલના બીજા કુળસમૂહોની સાથે આપવામાં આવ્યો નહતો.

યહોવાએ એ લોકોને ઇસ્રાએલીઓના હાથમાં સોંપી દીધા અને તેઓએ તેમને હરાવ્યા અને ઉત્તર તરફ છેક મહાનગર સિદોન અને પૂર્વમાં મિસ્રેફોથ-માંઈમ સુધી અને પૂર્વ તરફ ઠેઠ મિસ્પેહની ખીણ સુધી તેમને ભાગતાં કર્યાં બધાં શત્રુઓ મરી ગયાં ત્યાં સુધી ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ લડવાનું ચાલું રાખ્યું.
