Joshua 8:21
જ્યારે યહોશુઆ અને તેના માંણસોએ જોયું કે સંતાઈ ગયેલા માંણસોએ શહેર કબજે કર્યુ છે અને શહેરમાંથી ધુમાંડાના ગોટા ઊંચે આકાશમાં ચઢી રહ્યાં છે, તેથી તેઓ પાછા ફર્યા અને ‘આય’ ના માંણસો પર હુમલો કર્યો.

| the city, | הָעִ֔יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| and that | וְכִ֥י | wĕkî | veh-HEE |
| smoke the | עָלָ֖ה | ʿālâ | ah-LA |
| of the city | עֲשַׁ֣ן | ʿăšan | uh-SHAHN |
| ascended, | הָעִ֑יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| again, turned they then | וַיָּשֻׁ֕בוּ | wayyāšubû | va-ya-SHOO-voo |
| and slew | וַיַּכּ֖וּ | wayyakkû | va-YA-koo |
