John 13 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 And before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour hath come, that he may remove out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own who `are' in the world -- to the end he loved them.યહૂદિઓના પાસ્ખાપર્વનો લગભગ સમય હતો. ઈસુએ જાણ્યું કે આ જગત છોડવાનો તેના માટેનો સમય હતો. હવે તે સમય ઈસુ માટે પિતા પાસે પાછા જવાનો હતો. ઈસુએ હંમેશા જગતમાં જે તેના હતા તે લોકોને પ્રેમ કરતો હતો. તેનો પ્રેમ સંપૂર્ણ શ્રેષ્ઠ હતો. હવે ઈસુનો તેનો પ્રેમ તેઓને બતાવવાનો સમય હતો.

2 And supper being come, the devil already having put `it' into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver him up,ઈસુ અને તેના શિષ્યો સાંજના ભોજનમાં સાથે હતા. શેતાને અગાઉથી યહૂદા ઈશ્કરિયોતને ઈસુની વિરૂદ્ધ થવા સમજાવ્યો હતો. (યહૂદા સિમોનનો દીકરો હતો.)

3 Jesus knowing that all things the Father hath given to him -- into `his' hands, and that from God he came forth, and unto God he goeth,પિતાએ ઈસુને બધી વસ્તુઓ પરની સત્તા સોંપી હતી. ઈસુએ આ જાણ્યું. ઈસુએ તે પણ જાણ્યું કે તે દેવ પાસેથી આવ્યો છે. અને એમ પણ જાણ્યું કે હવે તે દેવ પાસે પાછો જતો હતો.

4 doth rise from the supper, and doth lay down his garments, and having taken a towel, he girded himself;યારે તેઓ જમતા હતા, ઈસુએ ઊભા થઈને પોતાનો ઝભ્ભો ઉતારી નાખ્યો. ઈસુએ રુંમાલ લીધો અને તેને પોતાની કમરે બાંધ્યો.

5 afterward he putteth water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which he was being girded.પછી ઈસુએ વાસણમાં પાણી રેડ્યું. તેણે શિષ્યોના પગ ધોવાની શરુંઆત કરી. તેણે રુંમાલ વડે તેમના પગ લૂછયા. જે રુંમાલ તેની કમરે વીંટાળેલો હતો.

6 He cometh, therefore, unto Simon Peter, and that one saith to him, `Sir, thou -- dost thou wash my feet?'ઈસુ સિમોન પિતર પાસે આવ્યો. પરંતુ પિતરે ઈસુને કહ્યું, “પ્રભુ, તારે મારા પગ ધોવા જોઈએ નહિ.”

7 Jesus answered and said to him, `That which I do thou hast not known now, but thou shalt know after these things;'ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “હમણા હું શું કરું છું તે તું જાણતો નથી. પરંતુ પાછળથી તું સમજી શકીશ.”

8 Peter saith to him, `Thou mayest not wash my feet -- to the age.' Jesus answered him, `If I may not wash thee, thou hast no part with me;'પિતરે કહ્યું, “ના! હું કદાપિ મારા પગ ધોવા દઈશ નહિ.”ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “જો હું તારા પગ નહિ ધોઉ, તો પછી તું મારા લોકોમાંનો એક થશે નહિ.”

9 Simon Peter saith to him, `Sir, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.'સિમોન પિતરે કહ્યું, “પ્રભુ, મારા પગ ધોયા પછી તું મારા હાથ અને મારું માથું પણ ધો!”

10 Jesus saith to him, `He who hath been bathed hath no need save to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and ye are clean, but not all;'ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “વ્યક્તિના સ્નાન કર્યા પછી તેનું આખું શરીર ચોખ્ખું થાય છે. તેને ફક્ત તેના પગ ધોવાની જ જરુંર છે. અને તમે માણસો ચોખ્ખા છો, પરંતુ તમારામાંના બધા નહિ.”

11 for he knew him who is delivering him up; because of this he said, `Ye are not all clean.'ઈસુએ જાણ્યું કે, કોણ તેની વિરૂદ્ધ થશે. તે જ કારણે ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “તમારામાંથી દરેક ચોખ્ખા નથી.”

12 When, therefore, he washed their feet, and took his garments, having reclined (at meat) again, he said to them, `Do ye know what I have done to you?ઈસુએ તેમના પગ ધોવાનું પૂરું કર્યુ. પછી તેણે પોતાનાં કપડાં પહેર્યા અને ફરીથી મેજ પર બેઠો. ઈસુએ પૂછયું, “તમે સમજો છો મેં તમારા માટે શું કર્યું?

13 ye call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and ye say well, for I am;તમે મને ગુરું તથા પ્રભુ કહો છો. એ ખરું છે, કારણ કે હું એ જ છું.

14 if then I did wash your feet -- the Lord and the Teacher -- ye also ought to wash one another's feet.હું જ તમારો ‘ગુરું’ અને ‘પ્રભુ’ છું. પણ મેં તમારા પગ સેવકની જેમ ધોયા. તેથી તમારે પણ એકબીજાના પગ ધોવા જોઈએ.

15 `For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, ye also may do;મેં તમારા માટે એક નમૂના તરીકે આ કર્યુ. તેથી મેં તમારા માટે જે કર્યુ તેવું તમારે એકબીજા માટે કરવું જોઈએ.

16 verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. એક સેવક તેના ધણી કરતાં મોટો નથી. અને જે વ્યક્તિને કંઈક કરવા મોકલાયેલો છે તે પોતાના મોકલનાર કરતાં મોટો નથી.

17 if these things ye have known, happy are ye, if ye may do them;જો તમે આ વાતો જાણો અને તેઓને પાળો તો તમે સુખી થશો.

18 not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel.“હું તમારા બધા વિષે બોલતો નથી. જેઓને મેં પસંદ કર્યા છે તેઓને હું જાણું છું. પરંતુ શાસ્ત્રલેખમાં જે કહ્યું છે તે થવું જોઈએ. ‘જે માણસ મારા ભોજનમાં ભાગીદાર બન્યો છે તે મારી વિરૂદ્ધ થયો છે.’

19 `From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, ye may believe that I am `he';હું તમને તે બનતા પહેલા આ કહું છું. જેથી જ્યારે એ બને, ત્યારે તમે વિશ્વાસ કરો કે હું તે છું.

20 verily, verily, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, doth receive me; and he who is receiving me, doth receive Him who sent me.'હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. જે કોઈને હું મોકલું છું તેનો સ્વીકાર જે કરે છે તે મારો સ્વીકાર કરે છે અને જે મારો સ્વીકાર કરે છે તે મારા મોકલનારનો પણ સ્વીકાર કરે છે.”

21 These things having said, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and did testify, and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will deliver me up;'ઈસુએ આ વાતો કહ્યા પછી તેણે ભારે વ્યાકુળતા અનુભવી. ઈસુએ જાહેરમાં કહ્યું, “હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. તમારામાંનો એક મારી વિરૂદ્ધ થશે.”

22 the disciples were looking, therefore, one at another, doubting concerning whom he speaketh.ઈસુના બધા શિષ્યો એકબીજા સામે જોવા લાગ્યા. ઈસુ જેના વિષે વાત કરતો હતો, તે વ્યક્તિ કોણ હતી તે તેઓ સમજી શક્યા નહિ.

23 And there was one of his disciples reclining (at meat) in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;શિષ્યોમાંનો એક ઈસુની બાજુમાં છાતીને અઢેલીને બેઠો હતો. ઈસુ જેને પ્રેમ કરતો હતો તે આ શિષ્ય હતો.

24 Simon Peter, then, doth beckon to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom he speaketh,સિમોન પિતરે આ શિષ્યને ઈશારો કરીને ઈસુને પૂછયું કે જેના વિષે વાત કરતો હતો તે વ્યક્તિ કોણ હતી.

25 and that one having leant back on the breast of Jesus, respondeth to him, `Sir, who is it?'તે શિષ્ય ઈસુની છાતીને અઢેલીને બેઠો હતો અને પૂછયું, “પ્રભુ, તે કોણ છે જે તારી વિરૂદ્ધ થશે?”

26 Jesus answereth, `That one it is to whom I, having dipped the morsel, shall give it;' and having dipped the morsel, he giveth `it' to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “હું આ રોટલી થાળીમાં બોળીશ. હું જે માણસને તે આપીશ તે માણસ મારી વિરૂદ્ધ થશે.” તેથી ઈસુએ રોટલીનો ટુકડો લીધો. તેણે તે બોળ્યો ને યહૂદા ઈશ્કરિયોત જે સિમોનનો દીકરો છે તેને આપ્યો.

27 And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into that one, Jesus, therefore, saith to him, `What thou dost -- do quickly;'જ્યારે યહૂદાએ ટુકડો લીધો, શેતાન તેનામાં પ્રવેશ્યો. ઈસુએ યહૂદાને કહ્યું, “તું જે બાબત કરે, તે જલ્દીથી કર!”

28 and none of those reclining at meat knew for what intent he said this to him,મેજ પાસેનો કોઈપણ માણસ સમજયો નહિ કે શા માટે ઈસુએ યહૂદાને આમ કહ્યું.

29 for certain were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus saith to him, `Buy what we have need of for the feast;' or that he may give something to the poor;યહૂદા સમૂહ માટે પૈસાની પેટી રાખનાર માણસ હતો. તેથી કેટલાક શિષ્યોએ વિચાર્યુ કે યહૂદા જઈને કેટલીક જરુંરી વસ્તુઓ પર્વ માટે ખરીદે એવું ઈસુ સમજતો હતો. અથવા તેઓએ વિચાર્યુ કે ઈસુ ઈચ્છતો હતો કે યહૂદા ગરીબ લોકોને જઈને કઈક આપે.

30 having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.ઈસુએ આપેલી રોટલી યહૂદાએ સ્વીકારી પછી યહૂદા બહાર ગયો. તે રાત હતી.ઈસુ તેના મૃત્યુ વિષે વાત કરે છે

31 When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus saith, `Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in him;જ્યારે યહૂદા બહાર ગયો, ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “હવે માણસના દીકરાએ તેનો મહિમા પ્રાપ્ત કર્યો છે અને માણસના દીકરા દ્વારા દેવ મહિમા પ્રાપ્ત કરશે.

32 if God was glorified in him, God also will glorify him in Himself; yea, immediately He will glorify him.જો દેવ તેના મારફત મહિમા પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે પછી દેવ પોતાના મારફત માણસના દીકરાને મહિમા આપશે.

33 `Little children, yet a little am I with you; ye will seek me, and, according as I said to the Jews -- Whither I go away, ye are not able to come, to you also I do say `it' now.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “મારા બાળકો, હવે હું ફક્ત થોડા સમય માટે તમારી સાથે હોઈશ. તમે મને શોધશો અને મેં જે યહૂદિઓને કહ્યું તે હવે હું તમને કહ્યું છું. જ્યાં હું જઈ રહ્યો છું ત્યાં તમે આવી શકશો નહિ.

34 `A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another;“હું તમને નવી આજ્ઞા આપું છું કે એકબીજાને પ્રેમ કરો. જે રીતે મેં તમને પ્રેમ કર્યો છે તેમ તમે એકબીજા પર પ્રેમ રાખો.

35 in this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye may have love one to another.'જો તમે એકબીજા પર પ્રેમ રાખશો તો બધા લોકો જાણશે કે તમે મારા શિષ્યો છો.”

36 Simon Peter saith to him, `Sir, whither dost thou go away?' Jesus answered him, `Whither I go away, thou art not able now to follow me, but afterward thou shalt follow me.'સિમોન પિતરે ઈસુને પૂછયું, “પ્રભુ, તું ક્યાં જાય છે?”ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “હું જ્યાં જાઉં છું ત્યાં હવે તું મારી પાછળ આવી શકીશ નહિ, પણ તું પાછળથી અનુસરીશ.”

37 Peter saith to him, `Sir, wherefore am I not able to follow thee now? my life for thee I will lay down;'પિતરે પૂછયું, “પ્રભુ, હવે હું શા માટે તારી પાછળ આવી શકું નહિ? હું તારા માટે મરવા પણ તૈયાર છું.”

38 Jesus answered him, `Thy life for me thou wilt lay down! verily, verily, I say to thee, a cock will not crow till thou mayest deny me thrice.'ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “શું તું ખરેખર મારા માટે તારોં જીવ આપીશ? હું તને સાચું કહું છું. મરઘો બોલે તે પહેલા તું ત્રણ વાર કહીશ કે તું મને ઓળખતો નથી.”
