પછી યોહાને કહ્યું, “હું પણ જાણતો નહોતો કે ખ્રિસ્ત કોણ હતો. પરંતુ દેવે મને લોકોનું પાણીથી બાપ્તિસ્મા કરવા મોકલ્યો અને દેવે મને કહ્યું, ‘તું જે માણસ પર આત્માને નીચે ઉતરતો અને રહેતો જોશે, તે માણસ પવિત્ર આત્માથી બાપ્તિસ્મા કરશે. યોહાને કહ્યું, મેં આમ થતાં જોયું છે.
