યર્દન નદીને પેલે પાર આ બધી વસ્તુઓ બેથનિયામાં બની. આ જગ્યાએ યોહાન લોકોનું બાપ્તિસ્મા કરતો હતો.

તેથી તે શિષ્યો યોહાન પાસે આવ્યા. તેઓએ કહ્યુ, “રાબ્બી, જે માણસ યર્દન નદીની બીજી બાજુએ તારી સાથે હતો તેનું સ્મરણ કર. તેં લોકોને જે માણસ વિષે કહ્યું તે એ છે. તે માણસ લોકોનું બાપ્તિસ્મા કરે છે અને ઘણા લોકો તેની પાસે જાય છે.”
