Jeremiah 9:18
જલદી કરો, તેમને કહો કે આપણે માટે જલ્દી દુ:ખનાં ગીતો ગાય, જેથી આપણી આંખોમાં ચોધાર આંસુ વહે અને આપણી પાંપણો ભીંજાઇ જાય.’

| a wailing | עָלֵ֖ינוּ | ʿālênû | ah-LAY-noo |
| for | נֶ֑הִי | nehî | NEH-hee |
| eyes our that us, | וְתֵרַ֤דְנָה | wĕtēradnâ | veh-tay-RAHD-na |
| may run down | עֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ | ʿênênû | ay-NAY-NOO |
| with tears, | דִּמְעָ֔ה | dimʿâ | deem-AH |
| eyelids our and | וְעַפְעַפֵּ֖ינוּ | wĕʿapʿappênû | veh-af-ah-PAY-noo |
| gush out | יִזְּלוּ | yizzĕlû | yee-zeh-LOO |
| with waters. | מָֽיִם׃ | māyim | MA-yeem |
