Isaiah 49 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples, from far: Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name:હે દૂર દેશાવરના લોકો, ધ્યાન દઇને સાંભળો! હું જન્મ્યો તે પહેલાથી યહોવાએ મને બોલાવ્યો હતો, જ્યારે હું મારી માતાના ગર્ભમાં હતો ત્યારે જ તેણે મને નામ આપ્યું હતું.

2 and he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me: and he hath made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he kept me close:તેમણે મારી વાણીને મર્મભેદી તરવાર બનાવી, અને મને પોતાના હાથની છાયામાં છુપાવી દીધો. તેણે મને તીક્ષ્ણ બાણ બનાવી અને ભાથામાં સંતાડી દીધો.

3 and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “તું, ઇસ્રાએલ, મારો સેવક છે, તું મારો મહિમા વધારનાર છે.”

4 But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and vanity; yet surely the justice `due' to me is with Jehovah, and my recompense with my God.પરંતુ હું તો એમ વિચારતો હતો કે, “મારી મહેનત પાણીમાં ગઇ. મેં મારી શકિત નકામી, વ્યર્થ વાપરી. તેમ છતાં, મને ખાતરી છે કે, યહોવા મને ન્યાય આપશે અને તે મને બદલો આપશે.”

5 And now saith Jehovah that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered unto him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Jehovah, and my God is become my strength);“હું માતાના ગર્ભમાં હતો ત્યારથી યહોવાએ મને પોતાનો સેવક નીમ્યો હતો, જેથી હું યાકૂબના વંશજોને, ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોને, પાછા એને ચરણે લાવું. તેણે મારો મહિમા કર્યો અને મને બળ આપ્યું.” આ યહોવા કહે છે:

6 yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.“ઇસ્રાએલને મારા માટે પુન:સ્થાપિત કરવા ઉપરાંત તું વધારે કામ કરીશ, પૃથ્વીની સર્વ પ્રજાઓમાં તારણ પહોંચાડવા હું તને તેઓ માટેનો પ્રકાશ બનાવીશ.”

7 Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, `and' his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, `even' the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.જેને લોકો ધૃણાની નજરે જુએ છે, જેનો તિરસ્કાર સર્વ પ્રજાઓ કરે છે, જે અન્યાયી શાસકોનો ગુલામ છે, તેને ઇસ્રાએલનો ઉદ્ધારક પવિત્ર દેવ કહે છે, “તને જોઇને રાજામહારાજાઓ માનપૂર્વક ઊભા થઇ જશે, અને સરદારો પગે પડશે,” એકવચની, અને તને પસંદ કરનારા ઇસ્રાએલના પવિત્ર દેવને પ્રતાપે આ થશે.

8 Thus saith Jehovah, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages:યહોવા કહે છે, “તમારો બચાવ કરવાનો સમય આવશે ત્યારે હું તમારા પ્રત્યે ભલાઇ દેખાડીશ અને તમારા સહાય માટેના પોકારો હું સાંભળીશ, હું તમારું રક્ષણ કરીશ અને સર્વ લોકો સાથેના મારા કરારના મધ્યસ્થ તમને બનાવીશ, ઉજ્જડ થયેલી જગામાં હું તમને ફરીથી વસાવીશ.

9 saying to them that are bound, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.હું બંદીવાનોને કહીશ, ‘જાઓ તમે મુકત છો!’ અને જેઓ અંધકારમાં છે તેઓને કહીશ, ‘બહાર પ્રકાશમાં આવો!’ તેઓ પર્વત પર ચરનારા ઘેટાં જેવા થશે.

10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water will he guide them.તેઓને ભૂખ કે તરસ લાગશે નહિ; તેઓને લૂ તથા તાપ વેઠવા પડશે નહિ. કારણ કે યહોવા પોતાની ભલાઇથી તેઓને દોરતા રહેશે અને તેમને પાણીના ઝરા આગળ લઇ જશે.

11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.હું દરેક પર્વતને સપાટ રસ્તો બનાવી દઇશ અને દરેક માર્ગને પૂરીને સરખો કરીશ,

12 Lo, these shall come from far; and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.જુઓ, મારા લોકો ઉત્તરના તથા પશ્ચિમના તેમજ દક્ષિણના પ્રદેશોમાંથી પાછા ફરશે.”

13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.હે આકાશો, હર્ષનાદ કરો; અને હે પૃથ્વી, તું આનંદ કર; હે પર્વતો, તમે જયઘોશ કરવા માંડો, કારણ કે યહોવાએ પોતાના લોકોને દિલાસો આપ્યો છે, અને પોતાની દુ:ખી પ્રજા પર કરુણા દર્શાવી છે.

14 But Zion said, Jehovah hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.છતાં સિયોનના લોકો કહે છે, “યહોવાએ અમારો ત્યાગ કર્યો છે, અમારો નાથ અમને ભૂલી ગયો છે.”

15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.પરંતુ યહોવા કહે છે, “કોઇ માતા પોતાના બાળકને કઇં રીતે ભૂલી જઇ શકે? પોતાના પેટના સંતાનને હેત કરવાનું કઇ રીતે ભૂલી જઇ શકે? કદાચ માતા ભૂલી જાય, પણ હું તને નહિ ભૂલું.

16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.જો, મેં તને મારી હથેલી પર કોતરી છે, અને યરૂશાલેમ નગરના કોટકાંગરાને હું સતત સંભાર્યા કરું છું.

17 Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee.તને ફરી બાંધનારાઓ થોડા જ સમયમાં આવી પહોંચશે. અને તારો નાશ કરનારા સર્વને ભગાડી મૂકશે.”

18 Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith Jehovah, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride.જરા ઊંચી નજર કરીને ચારે બાજુ જો! તારા લોકો કેવા ભેગા મળીને તારી પાસે પાછા આવે છે! હું યહોવા, મારા પ્રાણનાં સમ ખાઇને પ્રતિજ્ઞા કરું છું કે, “તું તેમને આભૂષણની જેમ ધારણ કરશે, અને નવવધૂની જેમ તેમના વડે તારી જાતને શણગારશે.

19 For, as for thy waste and thy desolate places, and thy land that hath been destroyed, surely now shalt thou be too strait for the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.તું ખેદાન-મેદાન થઇ ગઇ હતી, તું ખંડેરની ભૂમિ બની ગઇ હતી એ સાચું, પણ હવે તારા વતનીઓ માટે તારી સરહદ અત્યંત સાંકડી પડશે. અને તને ખેદાન-મેદાન કરી નાખનારાઓ તો દૂર ચાલ્યા ગયા હશે.

20 The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.દેશવટાના દિવસોમાં જન્મ ધારણ કરનારાં બાળકો પાછાં આવશે અને તેને કહેશે, ‘અમારે વધારે જગાની જરૂર છે! કેમ કે આ જગા તો ખીચોખીચ ભરાઇ ગઇ છે!’

21 Then shalt thou say in thy heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?પછી તું મનમાં વિચાર કરશે, હું તો સંતાન વિહોણી ત્યકતા હતી, આ બધા બાળકો મને થયા શી રીતે? ‘હું તો એકલીઅટૂલી હતી, ત્યારે એમને ઉછેર્યા કોણે? એ આવ્યાં ક્યાંથી?”‘

22 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my ensign to the peoples; and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.યહોવા મારા દેવ કહે છે, “જુઓ, હું વિદેશીઓ તરફ મારો હાથ ઊંચો કરીશ, અને લોકો તરફ મારો ધ્વજ રાખીશ. અને તેઓ તારા પુત્રોને પોતાના ખોળામાં ઊંચકીને અને તારી પુત્રીઓને ખભા પર બેસાડીને તારી પાસે પાછા લાવશે.

23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah; and they that wait for me shall not be put to shame.રાજાઓ તેમના પાલકપિતા થશે અને તેમની રાણીઓ તેમની ધાવ થશે. તેઓ તને સાષ્ટાંગ દંડવત પ્રણામ કરશે અને તમારા ચરણની રજ ચાટશે; ત્યારે તું જાણશે કે, હું યહોવા છું, જેઓ મારી વાટ જુએ છે તેઓ કદી જ નિરાશ થશે નહિં.”

24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered?શકિતશાળી માણસના હાથમાંથી શિકારને કોણ પાછો ઝૂંટવી શકે? અત્યાચારી રાજવી પાસે બંદીવાનોને મુકત કરાવવાની માગણી કોણ કરી શકે?

25 But thus saith Jehovah, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.પણ યહોવા કહે છે કે, “જોરાવરના હાથમાંથી લૂંટનો માલ ઝૂંટવી લેવાશે જ, અને દુષ્ટના હાથમાંથી કેદીને છોડાવાશે જ. તારી સામે જેઓ લડતા હશે તે બધાની સાથે હું લડીશ અને તારાં બાળકોને હું પોતે બચાવીશ.

26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.હું તારા દુશ્મનોને તેમનું પોતાનું માંસ ખવડાવીશ અને જાણે દ્રાક્ષારસ પીધો હોય એમ તેઓ પોતાનું જ લોહી પીને છાકટા બનશે, અને આખી માનવજાતને ખાતરી થશે કે હું, યહોવા તારો તારક અને ઉદ્ધારક અને યાકૂબનો મહાન પરાક્રમી દેવ છું.”
