1 The burden of the valley of vision. What ails you now, that you are wholly gone up to the housetops?સંદર્શન ખીણને લગતી દેવવાણી: દરેક માણસો ક્યાં જઇ રહ્યાં છે? તેઓ પોતાના ઘરની ટોચ પર કેમ દોડી ગયાં છે?

2 You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town; your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle.અરે, શોરબકોરથી ભરપૂર, ઘોંઘાટ કરનાર નગર, મોજીલા નગર, તારા નિવાસીઓ જેઓ મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે, તેઓ તરવારથી નથી મરાયા અને તેઓ યુદ્ધમાં પણ માર્યા ગયા નથી.

3 All your rulers fled away together, they were bound by the archers; all who were found of you were bound together; they fled afar off.તમારા સર્વ સેનાપતિઓ તેઓ વધારે દૂર પહોંચે તે પહેલા તેમના શત્રુઓએ તેમને ધનુષ્ય બાણ વાપર્યા વગર પકડી પાડ્યા છે.

4 Therefore said I, Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; don't labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.એટલે હું કહું છું કે, “મને એકલો રહેવા દો, મને દુ:ખમાં રડવા દો, મારા પોતાના લોકોના વિનાશ માટે મને દિલાસો આપવાની તસ્દી ન લેશો.”

5 For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.કારણ કે, આ સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાએ મોકલેલો ભયનો, વિનાશનો અને અંધાધૂંધીનો દિવસ છે. સંદર્શનની ખીણમાં આવેલો કોટ તોડી પાડવામાં આવ્યો છે. અને મદદ માટે ઊઠેલા પોકારના પડઘા પર્વતોમાં ગાજી ઊઠયા છે.

6 Elam bore the quiver, with chariots of men [and] horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.એલામના લશ્કરે બાણોથી સજ્જ થઇને ઘોડા તથા રથો તૈયાર કર્યા છે. કીરના યોદ્ધાઓએ પોતાની ઢાલો ધારણ કરી છે.

7 It happened that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.યહૂદાની સૌથી રળિયામણી ખીણો રથોથી ભરાઇ ગઇ છે અને ઘોડેસવારો યરૂશાલેમના દરવાજા આગળ આવી ઊભા રહ્યા હતા.

8 He took away the covering of Judah; and you did look in that day to the armor in the house of the forest.યહૂદા રક્ષણ વગરનું નિરાધાર થઇ ગયું. અને તે દિવસે તમે શસ્ત્રાગારમાં સંઘરેલા શસ્ત્રો તપાસી જોયાં.

9 You saw the breaches of the city of David, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool;વળી તમે જોયું કે દાઉદનગરમાં કોટમાં પડેલાં અનેક ભંગાણોની તપાસ કરી. અને તમે નીચલા તળાવનું પાણી એકઠું કર્યું.

10 and you numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall;અને ત્યાર પછી તમે યરૂશાલેમનાં ઘરોની ગણતરી કરી, અને કોટનું સમારકામ કરવા માટે ઘરોને પાડી નાખ્યાં.

11 you made also a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you didn't look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who purposed it long ago.અને તમે નીચલો કુંડ પાણીથી ભરી લીધો, અને પ્રાચીન પુલની બે દીવાલો વચ્ચે ટાંકી બનાવી પરંતુ આ બધાંનું લાંબા સમય પહેલાં નિર્માણ કરનાર અને તેનું ધ્યાન રાખનાર દેવનો તમે ન તો વિચાર કર્યો કે ન તેને સંભાર્યો.

12 In that day did the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:વળી તે દિવસે સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાએ તો તમને રડવાનું, છાતી કૂટવાનું, માથું મૂંડાવી શોકની કંથા પહેરવાનું કહેતા હતા,

13 and behold, joy and gladness, killing oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.પરંતુ તેને બદલે તમે તો આનંદોત્સવ કર્યો,“ઢોર વધેર્યા, ઘેટાં માર્યા, માંસ ખાધું અને દ્રાક્ષારસ પીધો અને વિચાર્યુ કે, આજે ખાઇ પી લઇએ, કારણ, કાલે તો આપણે મરી જવાનું છે.”

14 Yahweh of Hosts revealed himself in my ears, Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you until you die, says the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts.સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાએ મને દર્શન આપીને વચન આપી કહ્યું “તેમના જીવનકાળ દરમ્યાન તે તેમની દુષ્ટતા ને માફ નહિ કરે.” આ સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાના વચનો છે.

15 Thus says the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, [and say],સૈન્યોના દેવ મારા યહોવા મને કહ્યું, “શેબ્ના, જે રાજમહેલનો કારભારી છે તેની પાસે જઇને તેને કહે કે,

16 "What are you doing here? and who has you here, that you have hewed out a tomb here? Cutting him out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock!"અહીં તારે શું કામ છે, તને અહીં શો અધિકાર છે કે તેં તારે માટે પર્વત ઉપર ખડકમાં કબર ખોદાવી છે? હું તને જોરથી ઝાટકી નાખીશ.’

17 Behold, Yahweh, like a [strong] man, will hurl you away violently; yes, he will wrap you up closely.“હે શૂરવીર માણસ, યહોવા તને કઠોરતાથી હચમચાવવાનાં જ છે.

18 He will surely wind you round and round, [and toss you] like a ball into a large country; there shall you die, and there shall be the chariots of your glory, you shame of your lord's house.તે તને જરૂર દડાની જેમ લપેટીને વિશાળ પ્રદેશમાં ફેંકી દેશે અને ત્યાં તારું મૃત્યુ થશે. તારાં ભભકાદાર રથો ત્યાં જ રહેશે, તેં તારા ધણીના નામને બદનામ કર્યુ છે.”

19 I will thrust you from your office; and from your station shall you be pulled down.દેવ કહે છે, “હા, હું તને તારા પદસ્થાન પરથી દૂર હાંકી કાઢીશ, ને તને તારા હોદ્દા પરથી ઉથલાવી નાખીશ.

20 It shall happen in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:અને તે જ દિવસે હું મારા સેવક હિલ્કિયાના પુત્ર એલ્યાકીમને તેડાવી મંગાવીશ,

21 and I will cloth him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt, and I will commit your government into his hand; and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.અને તેને તારો હોદ્દાનો પોશાક આપીશ, તેને તારો કમરબંધ બાંધીશ, અને તારો અધિકાર તેને સોંપીશ. તે યરૂશાલેમના વતનીઓના અને યહૂદાના લોકોના પિતાને સ્થાને ગણાશે.

22 The key of the house of David will I lay on his shoulder; and he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.“હું દાઉદના મહેલની ચાવી તેને સુપ્રત કરીશ, તેને તે ઉઘાડશે, તેને કોઇ બંધ નહિ કરી શકે, અને તેને તે બંધ કરશે તેને કોઇ ઉઘાડી નહિ શકે.

23 I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a throne of glory to his father's house.હું તેને મજબૂત રીતે ખોડેલા ખીલાની જેમ સ્થિરપણે સ્થાપીશ, અને તેના પિતાના કુટુંબને માટે તે ભારે ગૌરવરૂપ બની રહેશે.

24 They shall hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.તેઓ તેના બાપના ઘરના સર્વ વૈભવ, કુટુંબ-પરિવાર, પ્યાલાં જેવા નાનાં પાત્રથી તે શિરોઇ જેવા પાત્ર સુધી, તે સર્વ તેના પર લટકાવી રાખશે.

25 In that day, says Yahweh of hosts, shall the nail that was fastened in a sure place give way; and it shall be hewn down, and fall; and the burden that was on it shall be cut off; for Yahweh has spoken it.“સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાનું એવું વચન છે કે,એક દિવસ તેને સ્થાને મજબૂત રીતે ખોડેલો ખીલો ઊખડી જશે. અને તેના ઉપર લટકતો બધો ભાર ભોંયભેગો થશે અને તેના ટૂકડે ટૂકડા થઇ જશે.” આ યહોવાના વચન છે.
