Hosea 5
1 હે યાજકો, તમે આ સાંભળો! હે ઇસ્રાએલીઓ, ધ્યાન આપો! હે રાજકુટુંબના સર્વ માણસો ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો! તમને દોષિત ઠરાવવામાં આવ્યાં છે. કારણકે મિસ્પાહમાં તમે ફાંદારૂપ બન્યા હતાં, તાબોર પર્વત ઉપર જાળની જેમ પથરાયા હતાં.
2 બંડખોરોએ તેઓને ફસાવવા માટે શિટ્ટિમમાં ઊંડા ખાડાઓ ખોદ્યા છે, પરંતુ હું તમને સૌને શિક્ષા કરીશ.
3 હું જાણું છું એફ્રાઇમ શું કરી રહ્યું છે. ઇસ્રાએલના કૃત્યો મારાથી છુપા નથી. હા, હું જાણું છું કે, એફ્રાઇમ વારાંગનાની જેમ ર્વત્યુ. ઇસ્રાએલ અપવિત્ર બન્યું.
4 તેઓના દુષ્ટ કૃત્યો તેમને દેવ તરફ પાછા ફરતાં દૂર રાખે છે. કારણકે તેઓના હૃદયમાં વ્યભિચારી આત્મા દ્વારા પકડાયેલા છે, અને તેઓ યહોવાને નથી જાણતા.
5 ઇસ્રાએલનો ગર્વ તેની વિરૂદ્ધ સાક્ષી છે. ઇસ્રાએલ અને એફ્રાઇમ પોતાના પાપમાં ઠોકર ખાશે અને યહૂદા તેની સાથે પડશે.
6 અંતે તેઓ દેવની શોધ કરવા પોતાના ઘેટાં, બકરાં અને ઢોરઢાંખર સાથે આવશે અને તેઓનું બલિદાન દેવને અર્પશે. પરંતુ ત્યારે ઘણું જ મોડું થઇ ગયું હશે. તેઓ યહોવાને શોધી શકશે નહિ. દેવ તેઓથી વિમુખ થશે અને તેઓને એકલા મૂકી દેવામાં આવશે.
7 તેઓએ યહોવાને દગો દીધો હતો. કારણકે તેઓએ બીજા કોઇના સંતાનોને જન્મ આપ્યો છે. તેથી તે ચંદ્રદર્શનનો દિવસ તેમનો અને તેમની ભૂમિનો નાશ કરશે.
1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
