મારી પ્રાણપ્રિયા, મારી નવોઢા, તારો પ્રેમ કેવો મધુર છે! સાચે જ તે દ્રાક્ષારસથીય વધુ મધુર છે, તારા પ્રેમની સુવાસ કોઇ પણ સુગંધિત દ્રવ્યો કરતાં વધારે મધુર છે.

મારી પાસે જરૂર કરતાં પણ વધારે છે. મારે જરૂરી બધી વસ્તુઓ છે કારણ કે એપાફદિતસ તમે આપેલ દાન લાવ્યો હતો. તમારું દાન દેવને ઘરેલું મધુર મહેકતા અર્પણ જેવું છે. દેવે તે અર્પણ સ્વીકાર્યુ અને પ્રસન્ન થયો.
પ્રકટીકરણ 5:8
હલવાને ઓળિયું લીધા પછી તે ચાર જીવતાં પ્રાણીઓ અને 24 વડીલો હલવાનની આગળ પગે પડ્યાં. તેમાંના દરેકની પાસે વીણા હતી. તેઓએ ધૂપથી ભરેલા સોનાના પ્યાલા પણ પકડ્યા હતા. આ ધૂપના પ્યાલા દેવના પવિત્ર લોકોની પ્રાર્થનાઓ છે.
