Numbers 18:13
લોકો પોતાની ભૂમિના પ્રથમ પાક તરીકે જે કંઈ મને ધરાવવા લાવે તે બધુ તારું થશે. તમાંરાં કુટુંબના બધાં સભ્યો તે જમી શકે. સિવાય કે તે સમયે જે અશુદ્ધ હોય.

યરૂશાલેમમાં મંદિરની સામે અંજીરની ભરેલી બે ટોપલીઓ મેં જોઇ, એક ટોપલીમાં તાજાં અને હમણાંજ પાકેલા અંજીર હતા. પરંતુ બીજી ટોપલીમાં બગડી ગયેલા અને ખાવાને લાયક નહિ એવાં અંજીર હતાં.
હોશિયા 9:10
યહોવા કહે છે, “જેમ રણમાં કોઇને દ્રાક્ષ મળે છે તે જ રીતે મને ઇસ્રાએલ મળ્યું હતું. તમારા પૂર્વજો મને ઋતુનાં પહેલા પાકેલા અંજીર જેવા લાગ્યા હતા. પણ જ્યારે તેઓ બઆલ-પેઓર પહોંચ્યા ત્યારે તેઓ બઆલની પૂજા કરવા લાગ્યા અને તેઓ તે ભયંકર વસ્તુઓ (જૂઠા દેવો) જેવા થઇ ગયા, જેને તેઓ પ્રેમ અને પૂજા કરતા હતા.
મીખાહ 7:1
હું કેટલો ઉદાસ છું! કારણકે હું એવો વ્યકિત થઇ ગયો છું જેને ઉનાળુ કાપણી પછી અને દ્રાક્ષ ભેગી કરવાની ઋતુ પછી ખાવા માટે દ્રાક્ષ મળતી નથી અથવા તો જેના માટે તીવ્ર ઇચ્છા રાખી હતી તે પહેલું ફળ મળતું નથી.
