ત્યારબાદ યહૂદાના લોકો અને શિમયોનના કુળસમૂહના લોકો તેના ભાઈઓ સાથે જઈને સફાથમાં વસતા કનાનીઓ જેઓ યહૂદામાં રહેતાં હતાં તેમની ઉપર હુમલો કર્યો અને શહેરનો નાશ કર્યો, આથી એ શહેરનું નામ હોર્માંહ પડયું.
