યહોવાએ ઇબ્રામને કહ્યું, “તું તારો દેશ, તારા સગાંસંબંધી, અને તારા પિતાના પરિવારને છોડી દે અને હું બતાવું તે દેશમાં ચાલ્યો જા.

| kindred, thy from and | מֵֽאַרְצְךָ֥ | mēʾarṣĕkā | may-ar-tseh-HA |
| and from thy father's | וּמִמּֽוֹלַדְתְּךָ֖ | ûmimmôladtĕkā | oo-mee-moh-lahd-teh-HA |
| house, | וּמִבֵּ֣ית | ûmibbêt | oo-mee-BATE |
| unto | אָבִ֑יךָ | ʾābîkā | ah-VEE-ha |
| a land | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| that | הָאָ֖רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| I will shew | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| thee: | אַרְאֶֽךָּ׃ | ʾarʾekkā | ar-EH-ka |
