Acts 13:7
બર્યેશુ હંમેશા સર્ગિયુસ પાઉલની નજીક રહેતો, સર્ગિયુસ પાઉલ એક હાકેમ હતો. અને તે ખૂબ જ શાણો માણસ હતો. તેણે બાર્નાબાસ અને શાઉલને તેની પાસે આવવા કહ્યું. દેવનો સંદેશ સાંભળવાની તેની ઈચ્છા હતી.

આ યહૂદિઓ થેસ્સલોનિકાના યહૂદિઓ કરતાં વધારે સારા લોકો હતા. આ યહૂદિઓ પાઉલ અને સિલાસે જે વાતો કહી તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળીને ઘણા ખુશ થયા હતા. બરૈયાના આ યહૂદિઓ પ્રતિદિન ધર્મશાસ્ત્રોનો અભ્યાસ કરતા. તેઓ જો આ વસ્તુઓ સાચી હોય તો જાણવા ઈચ્છતા હતા.
હોશિયા 14:9
સમજુ ડાહ્યો હોય તે આ બાબતોને સમજે, બુદ્ધિશાળી વ્યકિત તે સાંભળે, જેનામાં સમજણ હોય તે, એનો અર્થ હૈયામાં રાખે, કારણકે યહોવાના રસ્તાઓ સત્ય અને ન્યાયી છે, અને સારો માણસ તેના ઉપર ચાલે છે, પણ પાપી માણસો ઠોકર ખાઇને પછડાય છે.
