આથી ફરીથી યહોવાનો કોપ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર ભભૂકી ઊઠતો, તે કહેતા, “આ પ્રજાએ મેં એમના પિતૃઓને પાળવા કહેલા કરારનો ભંગ કર્યો છે. મેં કરેલી આજ્ઞાઓનું પાલન તેમણે કર્યું નથી.

આથી ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર યહોવાનો કોપ ભભૂકી ઊઠયો અને તેણે તેમને અરામ-નાહરાઈમના રાજા કૂશાન રિશઆથાઈમના દ્વારા હરાવ્યા, અને આઠ વર્ષ સુધી તેઓએ તેની ગુલામી કરી.
