પેલા માંણસે કહ્યું, “તમે માંરા હાથમાં 1,000 ચાંદીના સિકકા મુકો તો પણ હું રાજાના કુંવર સામે આંગળી સરખી ઊંચી ન કરું; ‘કેમકે, અમાંરા સાંભળતા રાજાએ તને, અબીશાયને તથા ઇત્તાયને એવું કહ્યું હતું કે, ખબરદાર, જુવાન આબ્શાલોમને કોઇ હાથ અડકાડે નહિ.’
