2 Peter 2:20
તે લોકોને જગતની અનિષ્ટ બાબતોથી મુક્ત રાખવામાં આવ્યા હતા. તેઓને આપણા પ્રભુ અને તારનાર ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તના જ્ઞાન વડે મુક્ત રાખવામાં આવ્યા હતા. પરંતુ જો તે લોકો ફરી પાછા તે દુષ્કર્મો તરફ વળે, અને તેઓ તેનાં આધિપત્ય નીચે આવી જાય, તો પહેલા હતાં તે કરતાં પણ તેઓની દશા બૂરી છે.

તે ખોટા ઉપદેશકો અર્થહીન શબ્દોની બડાશો મારે છે. તેઓ લોકોને પાપના છટકામાં દોરી જાય છે. તેઓે ખોટા રસ્તે જીવતા લોકોથી દૂર થવાની શરૂઆત કરતાં હોય તેઓને દોરે છે. તે ખોટા ઉપદેશકો લોકોને પાપ કરવા ઈચ્છતા હોય તેવા દૈહિક વિષયોથી તથા ભ્રષ્ટાચારથી મોહ પમાડે છે.
ફિલિપ્પીઓને પત્ર 3:19
જે રીતે આ લોકો જીવે છે તેથી તેઓ તેઓનો વિનાશ નોંતરે છે અને દેવની સેવા નથી કરતા. તેઓનો દેવ તેઓનું પેટ છે, શરમજનક કૃત્યો કરે છે અને તેને માટે ગૌરવ અનુભવે છે. તેઓ માત્ર પાર્થિવ વસ્તુનો જ વિચાર કરે છે.

તેઓમાં હોશિયારી-સમજણ હોત તો કેવું સારૂં? કયાં જઈ રહ્યા છે એટલું પણ જાણતા હોત તો કેવું સારું?

તેના મહિમા અને સાત્ત્વિકતાથી, ઈસુએ આપણને આપેલાં તે ઘણા મહાન અને સમૃદ્ધ દાનો પ્રદાન કર્યા અને તેથી મૂલ્યવાન તથા અતિશય મોટાં વચનો આપ્યા છે જેથી તે દ્ધારા જગતમાંની જે દુર્વાસનાથી દુષ્ટતા થાય છે, તેથી છૂટીને દૈવી સ્વભાવના ભાગીદાર તમે થાઓ.
2 પિતરનો પત્ર 1:2
કૃપા અને શાંતિ વધુ ને વધુ પ્રમાણમાં તમને પ્રદાન થાઓ. તમને કૃપા અને શાંતિ પ્રાપ્ત થશે કારણ કે તમે ખરેખર દેવ અને આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુને ઓળખો છો.
લૂક 11:24
“જ્યારે માણસમાંથી અશુદ્ધ આત્મા બહાર આવે છે, પછી નિર્જળ પ્રદેશોમાં આરામ માટેની જગાની શોધમાં તે ભટકતો ફરે છે. પણ તે આત્માને આરામ માટેની જગ્યા મળતી નથી. તેથી આત્મા કહે છે, ‘જે ઘરમાંથી હું નીકળ્યો તે જ ઘરમાં હું પાછો જઇશ.’
