ત્યારે શાઉલે કહ્યું, “માંરી ભૂલ થઈ, માંરા પુત્ર દાઉદ, તું પાછો આવ; આજે તેઁ મને બતાવ્યું છે કે માંરો જીવ તારા માંટે કિંમતી છે. હવે હું તને કદી ઇજા નહિ કરું અને ફરી કદી મૂર્ખાઇથી વતીર્શ નહિ. મેં બહું ખોટું કર્યુ છે.”
