6 તેથી દેવના સમર્થ હાથો નીચે પોતાને વિનમ્ર બનાવો પછી યોગ્ય સમયે તે તમને ઉચ્ચપદે મૂકશે.
7 તમારી બધીજ ચિંતાઓ તેને સોંપી દો, કારણ કે તે તમારી સંભાળ રાખે છે.
8 તમારી જાતને નિયંત્રિત કરો અને સાવધાન રહો! શેતાન તમારો દુશ્મન છે, અને તે ગાજનાર સિંહની પેઠે કોઇ મળે તેને ખાઇ જવા માટે શોધતો ફરે છે.
9 શેતાનનો વિરોધ કરો. અને તમારા વિશ્વાસમાં સુદઢ બનો. તમે જાણો છો કે તમારા જેવી જ યાતના દુનિયાભરમાં તમારા ભાઇઓ અને બહેનો ભોગવી રહ્યા છે.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
