પછી યૂસફે મિસર દેશમાં એવો કાયદો કર્યો કે, તમાંમ જમીનનો પાંચમો ભાગ ફારુનને મળે. એ કાયદો હજી આજે પણ ચાલે છે; માંત્ર યાજકોની જમીન ફારુનનાં કબજામાં આવી નહિ.
