Proverbs 17:5
જે ગરીબની મશ્કરી કરે છે તે તેના સર્જનહાર દેવની નિંદા કરે છે; જે કોઇ કોઇની વિપત્તિને જોઇને રાજી થાય છે તે શિક્ષા પામ્યા વગર રહેશે નહિ.

ધારો કે એક વિશ્વાસી કે જે ખૂબ ધનવાન હોવાથી તેની પાસે જરુંરી બધી જ વસ્તુઓ હોય છે. તે ખ્રિસ્તમાં તેના ભાઈને જુએ છે જે ગરીબ છે અને તેની જરુંરી વસ્તુઓ તેની પાસે નથી. તો પછી જો વિશ્વાસી પાસે વસ્તુઓ હોય અને ગરીબ ને મદદ ન કરે તો શું? પછી જે વિશ્વાસી પાસે જરુંરી વસ્તુઓ છે પરંતુ તેના હૃદયમાં દેવની પ્રીતિ હોતી નથી.
Obadiah 1:16
જેમ તેઁ મારા પવિત્ર પર્વત પર પીધું, તેથી બધાં રાષ્ટો પણ સતત પીશે અને ગળશે, જ્યાં સુધી તેમનું અસ્તિત્વ સમાપ્ત થાય ત્યાં સુધી.
