Nehemiah 8:3
અને પાણીના દરવાજા સામેના ચોક આગળ તે ઊભો રહ્યો અને પરોઢથી તે બપોર સુધી તેણે સ્ત્રી, પુરુષો અને તેઓ જે સમજી શકે તેમની સમક્ષ તે નિયમોનું વાચન કર્યુ. તેઓ સર્વ ખૂબ ધ્યાનપૂર્વક નિયમશાસ્ત્ર સાંભળતા હતા.

પાઉલે અને યહૂદિઓએ સભા માટે એક દિવસ પસંદ કર્યો. તે દિવસે એ યહૂદિઓના ઘણા લોકો પાઉલની પાસે તેના ઉતારામાં આવ્યા. પાઉલ આખો દિવસ તેમની સમક્ષ બોલ્યો. પાઉલે તેમને દેવના રાજ્યની સમજણ આપી. પાઉલે ઈસુ વિષેની વાતોમાં વિશ્વાસ કરવા તેઓને સમજાવવા માટે પ્રયત્ન કર્યો. તેણે મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્ર અને પ્રબોધકોના ધર્મશાસ્ત્રનો ઉપયોગ આ કરવા માટે કર્યો.
Acts 17:11
આ યહૂદિઓ થેસ્સલોનિકાના યહૂદિઓ કરતાં વધારે સારા લોકો હતા. આ યહૂદિઓ પાઉલ અને સિલાસે જે વાતો કહી તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળીને ઘણા ખુશ થયા હતા. બરૈયાના આ યહૂદિઓ પ્રતિદિન ધર્મશાસ્ત્રોનો અભ્યાસ કરતા. તેઓ જો આ વસ્તુઓ સાચી હોય તો જાણવા ઈચ્છતા હતા.

ત્યાં થુવાતિરા શહેરની એક લૂદિયા નામની સ્ત્રી હતી. તેનું કામ જાંબુડિયાં વેચવાનું હતું. તે સાચા દેવની ભક્તિ કરતી હતી, લૂદિયાએ પાઉલને ધ્યાનથી સાંભળ્યો. પ્રભુએ તનું હ્રદય ઉઘાડ્યું. તેણે પાઉલે જે કહ્યું તેમાં વિશ્વાસ મૂક્યો.
Acts 15:21
તેઓએ આ બાબતો કરવી જોઈએ નહિ, કારણ કે આજે પણ દરેક શહેરમાં હજી એવા માણસો (યહૂદિઓ) છે જેઓ મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્રનો બોધ આપે છે. ઘણા વર્ષોથી પ્રત્યેક વિશ્રામવારે સભાસ્થાનોમાં મૂસાના વચનો વાંચવામાં આવે છે.”

યરૂશાલેમમાં રહેતા યહૂદિઓ અને યહૂદિ અધિકારીઓ ઈસુ તારનાર હતો તેનો અનુભવ કરતા નથી. પ્રબોધકોએ ઈસુ વિષે જે વચન કહ્યા છે તે પ્રત્યેક વિશ્રામવારે યહૂદિઓ સમક્ષ વાંચવામાં આવતા હતાં. પણ તેઓ સમજતા નહોતા. યહૂદિઓએ ઈસુનો તિરસ્કાર કર્યો, આ રીતે તેઓએ પ્રબોધકોના શબ્દોને સાચા બનાવ્યા!
Acts 13:15
મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્ર અને પ્રબોધકનાં લખાણો વંચાયા. પછી સભાસ્થાનના આગેવાનોએ પાઉલ અને બાર્નાબાસને સંદેશો મોકલ્યો, “ભાઈઓ, જો તમારી પાસે અહી લોકો માટે બોધરૂપી સંદેશ હોય તો, મહેરબાની કરીને બોલો!”

પણ બધાજ લોકો ઈસુને નજીકથી એકાગ્રતાથી સાંભળતા હતા. ઈસુ જે કહેતો તેમાં તેઓને ખુબ રસ હતો. તેથી મુખ્ય યાજકો, શાસ્ત્રીઓ તથા લોકોના મુખીઓને તેને કેવી રીતે મારી નાખવા શું કરવું તે સૂઝતુ ન હતું.

તેથી તમે કેવી રીતે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો છો તે માટે સાવધાન બનો. જે વ્યક્તિ પાસે થોડીક સમજશક્તિ હશે તે વધારે પ્રાપ્ત કરશે. પણ જે વ્યક્તિ પાસે સમજશક્તિ નહિ હોય, તેની પાસેથી તેના ધારવા મુજબ જે થોડી સમજશક્તિ હશે તે પણ તે ગુમાવશે.”

ઈસુ ઉછરીને જ્યાં મોટો થયો હતો તે નાસરેથ શહેરમાં આવ્યો. પોતાની રીત પ્રમાણે તે વિશ્રામવારે સભાસ્થાનમાં ગયો અને વાંચવા ઊભો થયો.

પાઉલ ફરીથી મેડા પર ગયો. તેણે રોટલીનો ટુકડો કર્યો અને ખાધો. પાઉલે તેઓને લાંબો સમય સુધી બોધ આપ્યો. જ્યારે તેણે વાત કરવાનું બંધ કર્યુ, તે વહેલી સવાર હતી. પછી પાઉલે વિદાય લીધી.
Acts 20:7
સપ્તાહના પહેલા દિવસે, અમે બધા રોટલી ભાંગવાને એકઠા થયા હતા. પાઉલે સમૂહને વાત કરી. તે બીજે દિવસે વિદાય થવાની યોજના કરતો હતો. પાઉલે મધરાત સુધી વાતો ચાલુ રાખી.
