ફરોશીઓ અને શાસ્ત્રીઓ ઈસુના કેટલાએક શિષ્યોને ગંદા હાથો વડે ખાતાં જોયા. (‘ચોખ્ખા નહિ’ નો અર્થ: ફરોશીઓ લોકોને આગ્રહ કરતા કે જે અમુક રીતે તેમના હાથ થોવા જોઈએ તે રીતે ધોયા ન હતા.)
