ત્યાં કુરેનીનો એક માણસ શહેરમાં ચાલતો આવતો હતો. તે માણસ સિમોન આલેકસાંદર અને રૂફસનો બાપ હતો. સિમોન ખેતરોમાંથી શહેરમાં ચાલતો હતો. તે સૈનિકોએ ઈસુ માટેનો વધસ્તંભ બળાત્કારે સિમોન પાસે ઉંચકાવ્યો.

આ વિશ્વાસીઓમાંના કેટલાક સૈપ્રસ અને કુરેનીના માણસો હતા. જ્યારે આ માણસો અંત્યોખમાં આવ્યા. તેઓએ આ ગ્રીક લોકોને પણ પ્રભુ ઈસુ વિષેની સુવાર્તા કહી.

અંત્યોખમાં જે મંડળી હતી, તેમાં કેટલાક પ્રબોધકો અને ઉપદેશકો હતા. એટલે બાર્નાબાસ, શિમયોન (જે નિગર તરીકે ઓળખાતો હતો તે), લૂકિયસ (કુરેનીનો), મનાહેમ (જે હેરોદ રાજા સાથે ઉછરીને મોટા થયો હતો) તથા શાઉલ હતા.
