Genesis 27:12
કદાચ માંરા પિતા જો મને અડકશે તો જાણી જશે કે, હું એસાવ નથી. પછી તે મને આશીર્વાદ આપશે નહિ. તે મને શાપ આપશે કારણકે, મેં તેમને છેતરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કર્યો.”

પછી ઇસહાકે યાકૂબને કહ્યું, “બેટા, માંરી પાસે આવ, જેથી હું તારો સ્પર્શ કરી શકું અને જાણી શકું કે, તું માંરો પુત્ર એસાવ છે કે, નહિ?”

બાળકો મોટા થયાં ત્યારે ‘એસાવ’ કુશળ શિકારી થયો, અને તે ખેતરોમાં રહેવાનું પસંદ કરતો. જયારે યાકૂબ શાંત પ્રકૃતિનો હતો. અને તંબુઓમાં સ્થિર થઈને રહેતો હતો.
