તેમાંના બે દેવદૂતો સાંજે સદોમ નગરમાં આવ્યા ત્યારે લોત સદોમના દરવાજામાં બેઠો હતો. તેણે દેવદૂતોને જોયા. લોતે વિચાર્યું કે આ લોકો નગરમાંથી યાત્રા કરી રહ્યા છે, તેથી તેઓને મળવા ઊભો થયો અને તેમની પાસે જઈને સાષ્ટાંગ નમસ્કાર કરીને બોલ્યો,
