Ezra 3:5
એના પછી લોકોએ નિત્યનાં દહનાર્પણો, ચંદ્રદર્શનના દિવસની ઉજવણીના અર્પણો તથા બીજાં વાષિર્ક પવોર્ની ઉજવણીનાં અર્પણો ચઢાવ્યા જે યહોવાને માટે પવિત્ર હતા એ લોકોએ ઉપહાર પણ અર્પણ કર્યા.

“પરંતુ અર્પણોમાંનું કશું જ ઘરે ખાવું નહિ, અનાજનો, દ્રાક્ષારસનો કે તેલનો દશમો ભાગ, અથવા તમાંરાં ઢોરનાં કે ઘેટાંબકરાંનાં પ્રથમજનિત અથવા બાધાબલિઓ, સ્વૈચ્છિક બલિઓ કે દાનબલિઓ તમાંરે તમાંરા વસવાટોમાં ખાવાના નથી.

તે દિવસે તમાંરે યહોવા સમક્ષ દહનાર્પણમાં એક વાછરડો, એક ઘેટો અને એક વર્ષની વયના સાત નર હલવાનો ખોડખાંપણ વિનાના અર્પણ કરવાં. આની સુવાસથી યહોવા પ્રસન્ન થાય છે.

“જો કોઈ અર્પણ ઢોરના દહનાર્પણનું હોય, તો તે બળદ હોવું જોઈએ અને તે ખોડખાંપણ વગરનું હોવું જોઈએ. તેણે ઢોરને મુલાકાતમંડપના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ લાવવું જેથી યહોવા માંટેના તે અર્પણનો યાજકો સ્વીકાર કરે.
Exodus 29:38
“તારે વેદી પર આટલી બલિ ચઢાવવી: પ્રતિદિન કાયમને માંટે એક વર્ષની ઉંમરના બે હલવાન અર્પણ કરવાં.
