Esther 4:8
વળી તેઓનો નાશ કરવાનો હૂકમ સૂસામાં કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો, તેની નકલ તેણે તેને આપી કે, તે એસ્તેરને તે દેખાડે, અને તેને વિનંતી કરે કે રાજાની હજૂરમાં જઇને તે પોતાના લોકોને માટે કાલાવાલા કરીને તેમને બચાવવા અરજ કરે.
Esther 5:8
જો આપની મારા પર કૃપાદ્રષ્ટિ હોય, અને જો આપને મારી અરજ પ્રમાણે ઇનામ આપવાની તથા મારી વિનંતી પ્રમાણે આપ આપવા માગતા હોય તો આવતી કાલે પણ આપ તથા હામાન આજ રીતે ઉજાણીમાં પધારો. આવતી કાલે હું આપની આગળ મારી ઇચ્છા પ્રગટ કરીશ.
Esther 7:7
રાજા તો ગુસ્સામાં ઉજાણી છોડીને રાજમહેલમાં બગીચામાં ચાલ્યો ગયો. હામાન સમજી ગયો કે રાજાએ તેને મારવાનું નક્કી કરી લીધું હતું. તેથી તે રાણી એસ્તેર પાસે જીવનની માફી માંગવા ગયો.
