Deuteronomy 31:8
યહોવા જાતે તારી આગેવાની લેશે, તે તારી સાથે રહેશે, તે તારા પ્રત્યે અવિશ્વાસુ બનશે નહિ; કે તને એકલોે પણ મૂકશે નહિ, માંટે તું જરાય ગભરાઈશ નહિ કે નાહિંમત થઈશ નહિ.”

તેથી તમે સમજી લેજો કે આજે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા સ્વયં સર્વભક્ષી અગ્નિરૂપે તમાંરા સૌની આગળ રહીને જશે. અને તે એ લોકોનો વિનાશ કરશે. અને યહોવાના વચન અનુસાર તમે તેઓને હાંકી કાઢવા તેમજ તરત હરાવવા સમર્થ બનશો.

પરંતુ તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમાંરી આગળ રહીને યર્દન નદી ઓળંગશે અને તમાંરી સામેની પ્રજાઓનો નાશ કરશે અને તમે તેમનો પ્રદેશ કબજે કરશો. અને યહોવાની આજ્ઞા પ્રમાંણે યહોશુઆ તમાંરી આગેવાની લેશે.
