Deuteronomy 31:20
જે દેશ મેં એમના પિતૃઓને આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું હતું ત્યાં હું તેમને લઈ જઈશ ત્યારે તે દૂધ અને મધથી ઉભરાતો હશે, તેઓને જેટલું ખાવું હોય તેટલું ખાશે, કે જ્યાં સુધી સંપૂર્ણ તૃપ્ત ન થાય. અને તેઓ અન્ય દેવો તરફ વળી જઈને તેમની પૂજા કરશે, એમ તેઓ માંરી અવજ્ઞા કરીને માંરા કરારનો ભંગ કરશે.

પરંતુ યશુરૂને પસંદ કરેલા લોકોએ ચરબી વધારી અને રાજદ્રોહ કર્યો. ઇસ્રાએલના લોકો જાડાં અને ખાધે સુખી હતાં અને બગડી ગયા હતાં. તેઓએ તેમના સર્જનહાર દેવને છોડી દીધા. તેઓ, તેમને બચાવનારા તેમના બળવાન તારણહારની ધૃણા કરવાનંુ શરુ કર્યું.
Deuteronomy 31:16
યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું, “તારા પિતૃઓની જેમ તું પણ હવે મરવાની અણી પર છે. આ લોકો જે દેશમાં જઈ રહ્યા છે તેમાં જઈ વિદેશીઓ ભેગા રહેશે એટલે માંરા પ્રત્યેની ભકિતથી ચલિત થઈને તેઓ તે લોકોના દેવોની પૂજા કરવા માંડશે, મને છોડી દેશે અને મેં તેમની સાથે કરેલા કરારનો તેઓ ભંગ કરશે.
Deuteronomy 8:10
ત્યાં તમે ખાઈને તૃપ્ત થશો ત્યારે તમાંરા યહોવા દેવે જે સમૃદ્વ ભૂમિ તમને આપી છે તે માંટે તમે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાનો આભાર માંનશો.
Deuteronomy 8:7
કારણ કે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમને એક સમૃદ્વ ભૂમિમાં લઈ જઈ રહ્યા છે, જયાં પુષ્કળ નદીઓ અને અનેક ઝરણાં ફૂટી નીકળીને પર્વતોમાં અને ખીણમાં વહે છે.
Deuteronomy 7:1
“તમે જે ભૂમિનો કબજો લેવા માંટે જઈ રહ્યા છો ત્યાં તમને તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા લઈ જશે અને તમાંરા માંટે અનેક પ્રજાને તે હાંકી કાઢશે, એટલે હિત્તીઓ, ગિર્ગાશીઓ, અમોરીઓ, કનાનીઓ, પરિઝઝીઓ, હિવ્વીઓ, અને યબૂસીઓ, આ સાત રાષ્ટો તમાંરાં કરતાં મોટા અને શકિતશાળી છે. પણ તે તેઓને હાંકી કાઢશે.
