Acts 25:25
મેં જ્યારે તેનો ન્યાય કર્યો. મને કંઈ ખોટું જણાયું નહી, મને તેને મોતનો હુકમ કરવા કોઈ કારણ જણાયું નહિ. પણ તેણે તેની જાણ તેની જાતે કરવા કહ્યું કે તેનો ન્યાય કૈસર વડે થવો જોઈએ. તેથી મેં તેને રોમ મોકલવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો.

મેં જે જાણયું તે આ છે; યહૂદિઓએ કહ્યું, પાઉલે એવું કંઈક કર્યુ છે જે ખોટું હતું. પણ આ આક્ષેપો તેના પોતાના યહૂદિ નિયમો વિષે છે. તેમાનો એક પણ લાયક નથી. અને આ વસ્તુઓમાંની કેટલીક તો જેલ અને મૃત્યુદંડને યોગ્ય છે.

આ બધા યહૂદિઓએ વધારે મોટા સાદે બૂમો પાડવાની શરૂઆત કરી, શાસ્ત્રીઓ અને કેટલાએક જે ફરોશીઓ હતા તેઓ ઊભા થયા અને દલીલો કરી, “અમને આ માણસમાં કંઈ ખોટું જોવા મળ્યું નથી! દમસ્કના રસ્તા પર કદાચ દૂતે કે આત્માએ તેને કંઈ કહ્યું હોય!”

જો કાયદો કહેતો હોય કે મારે મરી જવું જોઈએ, તો હું મરવા માટે સંમત છું. હું મૃત્યુમાંથી બચવા માટે કહેતો નથી. પણ જો આ તહોમતો સાચા ના હોય તો પછી મને કોઈ વ્યક્તિ આ યહૂદિઓને હવાલે કરી શકે નહિ, ના! હું મારો કેસ કૈસર સાંભળે એમ ઈચ્છું છું!”
Luke 23:14
પિલાતે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “આ માણસને તમે મારી પાસે લાવ્યા છો. તમે કહ્યું કે તે લોકોનું પરિવર્તન કરે છે. પણ મેં તમારી સમક્ષ તેની પરીક્ષા કરી, મને તેણે કંઈ ખોટું કર્યુ હોય એવું દેખાયું નહિ.
John 18:38
પિલાતે કહ્યું, “સત્ય શું છે?” જ્યારે પિલાતે આ કહ્યું, તે ફરીથી યહૂદિઓ સાથે બહાર ગયો. પિલાતે યહૂદિઓને કહ્યું, “આ માણસમાં તેની સામેનો કોઈ આક્ષેપ મૂકવા જેવું મને કંઈ લાગતું નથી.
Acts 26:31
અને ખંડ છોડી ગયા. તેઓ એક બીજા સાથે વાતો કરતા હતા. તેઓએ કહ્યું, “આ માણસને દેહાંતદંડ કે કારાવાસમાં નાખવો જોઈએ નહિ, ખરેખર તેણે કંઈ ખોટું કર્યું નથી!”
