2 Samuel 24:17
દાઉદે દૂતને લોકોનો સંહાર કરતા જોયો એટલે તેણે યહોવાને કહ્યું, “દોષ માંરો છે, પાપ મેં કર્યું છે, પણ આ ગરીબ લોકો, એમણે શું કર્યુ છે? સજા કરવી હોય તો મને અને માંરા કુટુંબને કરો.”

એટલે હવે કૃપા કરીને આ છોકરાને બદલે તમાંરા સેવકને માંરા ધણી પાસે સેવક થઈને રહેવા દો; અને પેલા છોકરાને તેના ભાઈઓની સાથે પાછો જવા દો.
