2 Chronicles 34 - WEB (Gujarati)

1 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem.જ્યારે યોશિયા ગાદીએ આવ્યો ત્યારે તેની ઉંમર આઠ વર્ષની હતી અને તેણે યરૂશાલેમમાં 31 વર્ષ રાજ્ય કર્યું.

2 He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, and walked in the ways of David his father, and didn't turn aside to the right hand or to the left.યહોવાની ષ્ટિએ યોગ્ય ગણાય એવું આચરણ તેણે કર્યું, સહેજ પણ આમ કે તેમ ફંટાયા વગર તે પોતાના પિતૃ દાઉદને પગલે ચાલ્યો.

3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherim, and the engraved images, and the molten images.તેના શાસનના આઠમે વષેર્ તે હજી કાચી ઉંમરનો જ હતો ત્યારે, તેણે પોતાના પિતૃ દાઉદના દેવની ભકિત કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યુ. બારમે વષેર્ તેણે ટેકરી ઉપરનાં સ્થાનકો, અશેરાદેવીની પ્રતિમાઓ અને બીજી બધી મૂર્તિઓ હઠાવી, યહૂદા અને યરૂશાલેમનું શુદ્ધિકરણ કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યુ.

4 They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence; and the sun-images that were on high above them he hewed down; and the Asherim, and the engraved images, and the molten images, he broke in pieces, and made dust of them, and strewed it on the graves [of those] who had sacrificed to them.તેણે પોતાની દેખરેખ નીચે બઆલદેવની વેદીઓ ભાંગી નંખાવી અને તેની પાસેની ધૂપની વેદીઓ તોડી પડાવી. અને કોતરેલી અને ઢાળેલી અશેરાદેવીની અને બીજી બધી મૂર્તિઓ ભંગાવી નંખાવી. તેણે તેમનો દળીને ભૂકો કરાવી તેને તેઓની કબર ઉપર ભભરાવ્યો જેઓ આ મૂર્તિઓને બલિ ચઢાવતાં હતાં.

5 He burnt the bones of the priests on their altars, and purged Judah and Jerusalem.તેણે તે લોકોના યાજકોના હાડકાં તેમની વેદીઓ ઉપર બાળી નંખાવ્યાં અને એ રીતે યહૂદાની અને યરૂશાલેમની શુદ્ધિ કરી.

6 [So did he] in the cities of Manasseh and Ephraim and Simeon, even to Naphtali, in their ruins round about.તેણે આ પ્રમાણે મનાશ્શા, એફ્રાઇમ, શિમયોન, અને ઠેઠ નફતાલીના નગરોમાં કર્યું અને આસપાસના ખેદાન-મેદાન થઇ ગયેલા વિસ્તારોમાં પણ તેણે આમ જ કર્યુ.

7 He broke down the altars, and beat the Asherim and the engraved images into powder, and hewed down all the sun-images throughout all the land of Israel, and returned to Jerusalem.સમગ્ર ઇસ્રાએલમાં તેણે વેદીઓ ભાંગી નંખાવી અને અશેરાદેવીના સ્તંભો તોડી પાડ્યાં અને તેણે મૂર્તિઓ તોડી પડાવી, તેમનો દળીને ભૂકો કરી નંખાવ્યો, ને બધી ધૂપની વેદીઓનો નાશ કરાવ્યો. ત્યાર પછી તે પાછો યરૂશાલેમ આવ્યો.

8 Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of Yahweh his God.દેશનું અને મંદિરનું શુદ્ધિકરણ કર્યા પછી તેના શાસનના અઢારમા વષેર્, તેણે અસાલ્યાના પુત્ર સાફાનને તથા નગરના સૂબા માઅસેયાને તથા ઇતિહાસકાર યોઆહાઝના પુત્ર યોઆહને પોતાના દેવ યહોવાનું મંદિર ફરી બાંધવા, મરામત કરાવવા મોકલ્યા.

9 They came to Hilkiah the high priest, and delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin, and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.તેમણે મુખ્ય યાજક હિલ્કિયા પાસે જઇને દેવના મંદિર માટે ઉઘરાવાયેલી બધી ચાંદી તેને આપી. એ ચાંદી લેવીઓ દ્વારા મનાશ્શા, એફ્રાઇમના દરવાજેથી અને ઇસ્રાએલના બાકીના ભાગમાંથી ઉઘરાવાયેલી હતી, તેમજ યહૂદામાંથી બિન્યામીનના પ્રદેશમાંથી તેમજ યરૂશાલેમના વતનીઓ પાસેથી પણ તેમણે ચાંદી ઉઘરાવી હતી.

10 They delivered it into the hand of the workmen who had the oversight of the house of Yahweh; and the workmen who labored in the house of Yahweh gave it to mend and repair the house;ત્યારબાદ એ ચાંદી યહોવાના મંદિરમાં ચાલતા કામ ઉપર દેખરેખ રાખનારાઓને સોંપવામા આવી અને તેમણે એ ચાંદી મંદિરની મરામત કરવા માટે

11 even to the carpenters and to the builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to make beams for the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.સુથારોને અને કડિયાઓને આપી દીધી. જેથી તેઓ યહોબાના યહૂદાના રાજાઓ દ્વારા ભંગાર થઇ જવા દીધેલાં મોભ અને પાટિયા માટે લાકડું તેમજ ઘડેલા પથ્થર ખરીદી શકે.

12 The men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and [others of] the Levites, all who were skillful with instruments of music.એ માણસો પ્રામાણિકતાથી કામ કરતા હતા. મરારીના કુટુંબના લેવીઓ યાહાથ અને ઓબાદ્યા અને કહાથના કુટુંબના ઝખાર્યા અને મશુલ્લામ તેમના ઉપર દેખરેખ રાખતા હતા. બીજા લેવીઓ પણ હતા જે કુશળ સંગીતકાર હતા.

13 Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and set forward all who did the work in every manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.ભાર ઊંચકનારાઓના તેમજ જુદાં જુદાં કામોના કારીગરો પર પણ તેઓ જ નજર રાખતા હતા. કેટલાક લહિયા, કારભારીઓ અને દ્વારપાળો તરીકે કામ કરતા હતા.

14 When they brought out the money that was brought into the house of Yahweh, Hilkiah the priest found the book of the law of Yahweh [given] by Moses.જે પૈસા લોકોએ યહોવાના મંદિરમાં સંગ્રહ કરેલા હતા. તે તેઓ કાઢતા હતા તેવામાં મૂસા મારફતે આપવામાં આવેલુ યહોવાનું નિયમનું પુસ્તક હિલ્કિયા યાજકને મળી આવ્યું.

15 Hilkiah answered Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Yahweh. Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.તેણે રાજમંત્રી શાફાનને કહ્યું, “યહોવાના મંદિરમાંનું નિયમનું પુસ્તક મને મળ્યું છે;” અને પુસ્તક તેને આપી દીધું.

16 Shaphan carried the book to the king, and moreover brought back word to the king, saying, All that was committed to your servants, they are doing.શાફાન તે પુસ્તક રાજા પાસે લઇ ગયો અને કહ્યું, “આપના સેવકો તેમને સોંપેલું કામ કરી રહ્યાં છે.

17 They have emptied out the money that was found in the house of Yahweh, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and into the hand of the workmen.તેમણે યહોવાના મંદિર માટે આવેલી ચાંદી બહાર કાઢી લીધી છે, અને મુકાદમોને અને કારીગરોને સોંપી દીધી છે.”

18 Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest has delivered me a book. Shaphan read therein before the king.રાજમંત્રી શાફાને રાજાને એ પણ કહ્યું કે, “યાજક હિલ્કિયાએ મને એક પુસ્તક આપ્યું છે.” અને તેણે તે રાજા સમક્ષ વાંચી સંભળાવ્યું.

19 It happened, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he tore his clothes.નિયમશાસ્ત્રનાઁ વચનો સાંભળીને રાજાએ શોકથી પોતાના વસ્ત્રો ફાડી નાખ્યંા

20 The king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying,અને હિલિક્યાને, શાફાનના પુત્ર અહીકામને, મીખાહના પુત્ર આબ્દોનને, મંત્રી શાફાનને તથા સેવક અસાયાને હુકમ કર્યો કે,

21 Go you, inquire of Yahweh for me, and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found; for great is the wrath of Yahweh that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the word of Yahweh, to do according to all that is written in this book.“તમે જાઓ, મારી ખાતર, તેમજ ઇસ્રાએલમાં તથા યહૂદામાં બાકી રહેલાઓને ખાતર, મળી આવેલા પુસ્તકનાં વચનો સંબંધી યહોવાની સલાહ પૂછો; કેમ કે યહોવાનો રોષ આપણા ઉપર થયો છે તે ભયંકર છે, કારણકે આ પુસ્તકમાં જે જે લખેલું છે તે પ્રમાણે આપણા પિતૃઓએ યહોવાનું વચન પાળ્યું નથી.”

22 So Hilkiah, and they whom the king [had commanded], went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter;) and they spoke to her to that effect.આ માણસો હુલ્દાહ પ્રબોધિકા પાસે ગયા અને રાજાની મુશ્કેલી જણાવી. હુલ્દાહ પ્રબોધિકા શાલ્લુમની પત્ની હતી. હાસ્રાહના પુત્ર તોકહાથનો પુત્ર શાલ્લુમ રાજાના વસ્ત્રભંડારનો ઉપરી હતો. હુલ્દાહ યરૂશાલેમનાં નવા ભાગમાં રહેતી હતી.

23 She said to them, Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: Tell you the man who sent you to me,પ્રબોધકોએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, ઇસ્રાએલના યહોવા દેવ કહે છે કે, “જે માણસે તમને મોકલ્યો છે તેને કહો,

24 Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will bring evil on this place, and on the inhabitants of it, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah.આ ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવાના વચન છે; ‘હું આ જગ્યા પર અને એના વતનીઓ પર આફત ઉતારનાર છું, યહૂદાના રાજા સમક્ષ વાંચવામાં આવેલા પુસ્કતમાં લખેલા બધા શાપો અમલમાં આણનાર છે.

25 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore is my wrath poured out on this place, and it shall not be quenched.કારણ, એ લોકોએ મને છોડી દઇને અન્ય દેવોની આગળ ધૂપ બાળ્યા છે. અને પોતાનાં બધાં કૃત્યોથી મારો રોષ વહોરી લીધો છે. મારો રોષ આ જગ્યા સામે ભડભડી રહ્યો છે અને એ શાંત પડવાનો નથી.’

26 But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of Yahweh, thus shall you tell him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: As touching the words which you have heard,“આ બાબતમાં યહોવાને પૂછવા માટે તમને મોકલનાર રાજાને કહી દો કે, જે વાતો તમે થોડા સમય પહેલા સાંભળી છે તે માટે, ઇસ્રાએલના યહોવા કહે છે,

27 because your heart was tender, and you did humble yourself before God, when you heard his words against this place, and against the inhabitants of it, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard you, says Yahweh.“આ જગ્યા અને એના વતનીઓ વિરૂદ્ધ મેં ઉચ્ચારેલી ચેતવણી સાંભળીને તારું હૃદય પીગળી ગયું છે, અને પશ્ચાતાપથી તેં તારા કપડાં ફાડ્યાં છે અને તું મારી સમક્ષ રડી પડીને મને પગે લાગ્યો છે, તેથી મેં પણ તારી અરજ સાંભળી છે,

28 Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, neither shall your eyes see all the evil that I will bring on this place, and on the inhabitants of it. They brought back word to the king.હું આ જગ્યા અને તેના વતનીઓ ઉપર જે આફતો ઉતારનારો છું તે તારે નજરે જોવી નહિ પડે, તે પહેલાં તું તારા પિતૃઓ ભેગો થઇ જશે અને શાંતિથી કબરમાં જશે.”‘ આ જવાબ લઇને તેઓ રાજા પાસે ગયા.

29 Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.પછી રાજાએ યહૂદા અને યરૂશાલેમના સર્વ વડીલોને એકત્ર થવાની આજ્ઞા કરી.

30 The king went up to the house of Yahweh, and all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, both great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of Yahweh.તેણે યાજકો, લેવીઓ અને નાનામોટા સર્વ લોકોને પોતાની સાથે મંદિરમાં એકત્ર કર્યા. રાજાએ મંદિરમાંથી મળી આવેલા કરારનાં પુસ્તકમાંથી વચનો વાંચી સંભળાવ્યા.

31 The king stood in his place, and made a covenant before Yahweh, to walk after Yahweh, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.ત્યારબાદ મંચ ઉપર ઊભા રહીને રાજાએ યહોવા સમક્ષ યહોવાને અનુસરવાની, અને તેની બધી આજ્ઞાઓ, સાક્ષ્યો અને વિધિઓ પૂર્ણ હૃદયથી પાલન કરવાની, અને તે રીતે પુસ્તકમાં લખેલી કરારની બધી શરતોનો અમલ કરવાની પ્રતિજ્ઞા લીધી.

32 He caused all who were found in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand [to it]. The inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.ત્યારબાદ તેણે બિન્યામીનના લોકો અને યરૂશાલેમમાં જેઓ હાજર હતા તેઓ બધા પાસે કરારનું પાલન કરવાની પ્રતિજ્ઞા લેવડાવી. એ પછી યરૂશાલેમમાં વતનીઓએ પોતાના પિતૃઓના દેવ યહોવા સાથેનો કરાર પાળ્યો પણ ખરો.

33 Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all who were found in Israel to serve, even to serve Yahweh their God. All his days they didn't depart from following Yahweh, the God of their fathers.યોશિયાએ યહૂદીઓ જે પ્રદેશમાં રહેતા હતા ત્યાંથી સર્વ મૂર્તિઓ દૂર કરી, અને તેમના દેવ યહોવાનું ભજન કરવા આજ્ઞા કરી. તેના બાકીના જીવનકાળ દરમિયાન સર્વ લોકો તેઓના પિતૃઓના દેવ યહોવાની સેવામાં ચાલુ રહ્યાં, યહોવાના માગેર્ ચાલવામાં તેઓ જરા પણ પાછા ન પડ્યાં.
