આથી તેઓ બધા ગિલ્ગાલ ગયા, અને ત્યાં યહોવા સમક્ષ શાઉલને પોતાના રાજા જાહેર કર્યો. તેઓએ યહોવાને શાંત્યર્પણો અર્પણ કર્યા; શાઉલે તથા ઇસ્રાએલના સર્વ પ્રજાજનોએ મોટો ઉત્સવ કર્યો.
