ત્યારબાદ ફારુનની પુત્રી દાઉદ નગરથી સુલેમાંને તેને માંટે બંધાવેલા રાજમહેલમાં ગઈ અને ત્યાર પછી સુલેમાંને મિલ્લો બંધાવ્યો.

સુલેમાંને મિસરના રાજા ફારુનની સાથે કરાર કર્યો, તેણે તેની પુત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા. તે તેને દાઉદનગરમાં લઈ આવ્યો. સુલેમાંનનો મહેલ, યહોવાનું મંદિર અને યરૂશાલેમની ફરતી દીવાલ બાંધવામાં આવી, ત્યાં સુધી તે ત્યાં રહીં.

સુલેમાન ફારુનની કુંવરીને તેને માટે બંધાવેલ ખાસ ઘરમાં લઇ આવ્યો, તેણે કહ્યું, “દાઉદ રાજાના મહેલમાં તેણે રહેવું જોઇએ નહિ, કારણકે યહોવાનો કરારકોશ ત્યાં હતો તેથી તે સ્થાન પવિત્ર છે.”
