તે કોશને અડક્યો તેથી યહોવાનો રોષ તેના પર ભભૂકી ઊઠયો. તેમણે ઉઝઝાને માર્યો અને તે દેવ સમક્ષ મૃત્યુ પામ્યો.

પણ જેમ જેમ તેનું બળ વધતું ગયું, તેમ તેમ તે અભિમાની બનતો ગયો અને તેમાંથી તેનો વિનાશ થયો. તેણે ધૂપની વેદી ઉપર ધૂપ ચઢાવવા માટે યહોવાના મંદિરમાં પ્રવેશ કરીને યહોવાનો ગુનો કર્યો.
