પરંતુ સ્ત્રીઓ, બાળકો, ઢોરઢાંખર અને બીજું બધું લૂંટી લેવું. તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાએ દુશ્મનો પાસેથી અપાવેલી લૂંટ તમે ભોગવી શકો છો.

યહોશાફાટ રાજા અને તેના લોકો લૂંટ એકત્ર કરવા લાગ્યા. તેઓને નાણાં, પોશાક, અલંકારો અને રોજીંદા જીવનની વસ્તુસંગ્રહ કરી અને લઇ લીધી. આ લૂંટ એટલી બધી હતી કે તે બધી લઇ જવા માટે તેઓને ત્રણ દિવસ લાગ્યા.

આસા અને તેના માણસોએ ગરાર સુધી તેમનો પીછો કર્યો. યહોવા અને તેની સેના આગળ કુશીઓ છિન્નભિન્ન થઇ ગયા; તેથી ઘણા કુશીઓ મરી ગયા કે તેઓ બીજુ લશ્કર ઊભુ કરી શક્યા નહિ. યહૂદાવાસીઓએ મોટા જથ્થામાં લૂંટ ભેગી કરી.

ઇસ્રાએલી લોકોને શહેરોમાંથી જે બધી વસ્તુઓ મળી તે પોતાનાં માંટે રાખી. તેઓએ શહેરમાં જે પ્રાણીઓ મળ્યાં તે રાખ્યાં. પણ તેઓએ ત્યાંના બધા માંણસોને માંરી નાખ્યાં. તેઓએ કોઈ લોકોને જીવતા ન છોડ્યાં.
