Deuteronomy 15:1-11 in Gujarati

1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord’s release.

3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

1 “દર સાતમે વષેર્ તમાંરે તમાંરા દેણદારોનું સર્વ પ્રકારનું દેવું માંફ કરી દેવું. દેવામાંફીનો નિયમ આ પ્રમાંણે છે:
At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

2 દરેક મહાજને દેવાદાર કે જેઓ તેના ઋણી છે તેઓને દેણાંથી મુકત કરવાં. તેણે પોતાના જાતભાઈ પાસે દેવું વસૂલ કરવા દબાણ કરવું નહિ. કારણ કે એ યહોવાએ ઠરાવેલું દેવામાંફીનું વર્ષ છે.

3 આથી તમે વિદેશી પાસે દેવું ભરપાઈ કરાવી શકો પરંતુ દેણદાર જો તમાંરો ઇસ્રાએલી ભાઈ હોય તો તમાંરે તે દેવું રદ કરવું.
Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

4 તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમને જે પ્રદેશ આપે છે, તેમાં તે તમને ખૂબ વિપુલતા આપશે તમાંરામાંનું કોઇ ગરીબ હશે નહિ.
Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

5 પરંતુ શરત એટલી કે તમે દેવની આજ્ઞાઓનું પાલન કરશો. અને આજે તમને હું જે આજ્ઞાઓ જણાવું છું, તેનું પાલન બરાબર કરશો.
Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા વચન મુજબ તમને આશીર્વાદ આપશે અને તમે અનેક પ્રજાઓના લેણદાર બનશો, તમે કોઈના દેવાદાર નહિ બનો, અને તમે અનેક પ્રજાઓ ઉપર શાસન કરશો, પણ કોઈ તમાંરા ઉપર રાજ કરશે નહિ.
For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

7 “પરંતુ તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમને જે પ્રદેશ આપે છે, તેના કોઈ પણ ગામમાં તમાંરો કોઈ જાતિભાઈ આથિર્ક મુશ્કેલીમાં આવી પડે, તો કઠોર હૃદયના ના બનશો. કે મદદનાં હાથને રોકશો નહિ.

8 પરંતુ ઉદાર હાથે તમે તેઓને જરૂરિયાત પ્રમાંણે ધીરજો.
But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

9 “પણ સાવધાન! જોજો, એવું ના બને કે, “જયારે સાતમું ઋણમુકિતનું વર્ષ નજીક આવ્યું છે ત્યારે હલકા વિચારથી ભરાઇને તમે તમાંરા આથિર્ક મુશ્કેલીમાં આવી પડેલા જાતભાઈ પ્રત્યે લાગણીહીન બની તેને કંઈ ન આપો, નહિતર તે તમાંરી વિરુદ્ધ યહોવાને પોકાર કરશે અને તમે દોષિત ઠરશો.

10 “વળી તેને જેની જરૂર હોય તે તમાંરે તેને ઉછીનું આપવું અને તે માંટે દુ:ખી થવું નહિ! કારણ કે, આના લીધે તમે જે કરશો તેમાં યહોવા તમને તમાંરાં બધાં કાર્યોમાં લાભ આપશે.
Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 તમાંરા દેશમાં હંમેશા તમાંરી વચ્ચે કોઇ ગરીબ તો હોવાના જ. તેથી હું તમને આજ્ઞા કરું છું કે, તમાંરા જે કોઈ જાતભાઈ ગરીબ હોય અને આથિર્ક ભીંસમાં હોય તો તેમને ઉદારતાથી મદદ કરજો.
For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
