Deuteronomy 13:2
કદાચ તેણે કરેલી આગાહી સાચી પણ પડે, અને જો તમને તે કહે ‘આવો, આપણે અન્ય પ્રજાના દેવોનું પૂજન કરીએ.’

તો એનો ઉત્તર છે, જયારે કોઈ પ્રબોધક યહોવાના નામે કંઈ કહે અને તે જો સાચું ન પડે તો સમજવું કે, એ યહોવાનું વચન નથી. એ પ્રબોધકની ખોટી વાણી છે, પોતે ઉપજાવી કાઢેલી છે, તેથી તમાંરે તેનાથી ગભરાવું નહિ.

“જો તમાંરા ખૂબ જ નજીકના સગામાંનું કોઇ, અથવા તમાંરા ખાસ મિત્રોમાંનું કોઇ, તમાંરો પુત્ર અથવા પુત્રી અથવા તમાંરી પ્રિય પત્ની તમને ખાનગીમાં ઉશ્કેરે અને અન્ય દેવો કે જેઓને તમે કે તમાંરા પિતૃઓએ કદી પૂજ્યા નથી, તેઓનું પૂજન કરવા લલચાવે.
Exodus 7:22
મિસરના જાદુગરોએ પણ પોતાની મેલીવિદ્યાથી તે પ્રમાંણે કર્યું, તેથી ફારુને મૂસા અને હારુનની વાત કાને ન ધરી. યહોવાએ જેવું કહ્યું હતું બરાબર એ જ પ્રમાંણે થયું.
