Daniel 8:24
તે મહા બળવાન હશે અને ભારે વિનાશ નોતરશે. તે જે પણ કરશે, તેમાં તે સફળ થશે. તેની સામે થનારા શકિતશાળી સૈન્યોનો પણ તે નાશ કરશે અને દેવના લોકોને હિંસા દ્વારા નાશ કરશે.

તેના લશ્કરના માણસો યરૂશાલેમમાં આવીને મંદિરને અને તેના ગઢને ષ્ટ કરશે. અને નિત્યનું દહનાર્પણ બંધ કરાવશે અને ત્યાં વેરાનકારક મૂર્તિની સ્થાપના કરાવશે.

વધતું વધતું તે નક્ષત્રમંડળ સુધી પહોંચી ગયું. કેટલાક નક્ષત્રોને અને તારાઓને તેણે પૃથ્વી પર પટક્યાં અને પગ તળે કચડ્યાં.
