માટે આપ મહેરબાની કરીને મારી સલાહ માનો: પુણ્યકાર્યો કરી અને ગરીબો ઉપર દયા કરી, આપે કરેલા પાપોમાંથી મુકત થાઓ અને એમ કરીને આપ સુખ શાંતિભર્યું દીર્ધાયુષ્ય ભોગવો.”

Wherefore, לָהֵ֣ן lāhēn la-HANE
O king, מַלְכָּ֗א melek meh-LEK
let my counsel מִלְכִּי֙ mĕlak meh-LAHK
be acceptable יִשְׁפַּ֣ר šĕpar sheh-FAHR
unto thee, עֲלָ֔יךְ ʿal al
thy sins וַחֲטָיָךְ֙ ḥăṭî huh-TEE
by righteousness, בְּצִדְקָ֣ה ṣidqâ tseed-KA
and break off פְרֻ֔ק pĕraq peh-RAHK
and thine iniquities וַעֲוָיָתָ֖ךְ ʿiwyāʾ eev-YA
by shewing mercy בְּמִחַ֣ן ḥănan huh-NAHN
to the poor; עֲנָ֑יִן ʿănâ uh-NA
if הֵ֛ן hēn hane
it may be תֶּֽהֱוֵ֥ה hāwāʾ ha-VA
a lengthening אַרְכָ֖ה ʾarkāʾ ar-KA
of thy tranquillity. לִשְׁלֵוְתָֽךְ׃ šĕlēwâ sheh-lay-VA
