Acts 19 - DBY (Gujarati)

1 And it came to pass, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper districts, came to Ephesus, and finding certain disciples,જ્યારે અપોલોસ કરિંથના શહેરમાં હતો ત્યારે, પાઉલ એફેસસના શહેરના રસ્તા પર કેટલાક સ્થળોની મુલાકાત લેતો હતો. એફેસસમાં પાઉલને યોહાનના કેટલાક શિષ્યો મળ્યા.

2 he said to them, Did ye receive [the] Holy Spirit when ye had believed? And they [said] to him, We did not even hear if [the] Holy Spirit was [come].પાઉલે તેઓને પૂછયું, ‘જ્યારે તમે વિશ્વાસ કર્યો ત્યારે તમને પવિત્ર આત્મા પ્રાપ્ત થયો?”આ શિષ્યોએ તેને કહ્યું, “અમે કદી તે પવિત્ર આત્મા વિષે સાંભળ્યું નથી.”

3 And he said, To what then were ye baptised? And they said, To the baptism of John.તેથી પાઉલે તેઓને પૂછયું, “તમને કેવા પ્રકારનું બાપ્તિસ્મા આપવામા આવ્યું હતું?”તેઓએ કહ્યું, “તે યોહાને શીખવેલ બાપ્તિસ્મા હતું.”

4 And Paul said, John indeed baptised [with] the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on him that was coming after him, that is, on Jesus.પાઉલે કહ્યું, “લોકો તેમનાં જીવનમાં બદલાણ ઇચ્છે છે તે દર્શાવવા બાપ્તિસ્મા લેવા યોહાને લોકોને કહ્યું. જે તેની પાછળ આવે છે તેના પર વિશ્વાસ કરવાનું યોહાને કહ્યું. તે પાછળ આવનાર વ્યક્તિ તો ઈસુ છે.”

5 And when they heard that, they were baptised to the name of the Lord Jesus.જ્યારે તેઓએ આ સાંભળ્યું ત્યારે. તેઓ પ્રભુ ઈસુના નામે બપ્તિસ્મા પામ્યા હતા.

6 And Paul having laid [his] hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.પછી પાઉલે તેનો હાથ તેઓના પર મૂક્યો અને પવિત્ર આત્મા તેઓ પર આવ્યો. તેઓ જુદી જુદી ભાષાઓ બોલવા લાગ્યા અને પ્રબૅંેધ કરવા લાગ્યા.

7 And all the men were about twelve.ત્યાં લગભગ બાર માણસો આ સમૂહમાં હતા.

8 And entering into the synagogue, he spoke boldly during three months, reasoning and persuading [the things] concerning the kingdom of God.પાઉલ સભાસ્થાનમાં ગયો અને ઘણી હિંમતથી બોલ્યો. પાઉલે આ કામ ત્રણ માસ સુધી ચાલુ રાખ્યું. તેણે યહૂદિઓ સાથે વાતો કરી અને દેવના રાજ્ય વિષે તેણે કહેલી વાતો સ્વીકારવા સમજાવ્યા.

9 But when some were hardened and disbelieved, speaking evil of the way before the multitude, he left them and separated the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.પણ કેટલાક યહૂદિઓ દુરાગ્રહી થયા. તેઓએ માનવાનો અનાદર કર્યો. આ યહૂદિઓએ દેવના માર્ગ વિષે કેટલીક વધારે ખરાબ વાતો કહી. બધા જ લોકોએ આ વાતો સાંભળી. તેથી પાઉલે પેલા યહૂદિઓને છોડી દીધા અને ઈસુના શિષ્યોને તેની સાથે લીધા. તુરાનસ નામના માણસની શાળામાં પાઉલ ગયો. ત્યાં પાઉલ દરરોજ લોકો સાથે ચર્ચા કરતો.

10 And this took place for two years, so that all that inhabited Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.પાઉલે આ કામ બે વર્ષ માટે કર્યુ. આ કામને કારણે પ્રત્યેક યહૂદિ અને ગ્રીક જે આસિયાના દેશોમાં રહેતા હતા તેઓએ પ્રભુની વાતો સાંભળી.સ્કેવાના પુત્રો

11 And God wrought no ordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,દેવે પાઉલના હાથે કેટલાક ખાસ ચમત્કારો કરાવ્યા.

12 so that even napkins or aprons were brought from his body [and put] upon the sick, and the diseases left them, and the wicked spirits went out.કેટલાએક લોકો પાઉલે વાપરેલા હાથરૂમાલો તથા લૂગડા લઈ જતા. લોકો માંદા લોકો પર આ વસ્તુઓ મૂકતા. જ્યારે તેઓએ આ કર્યું, ત્યારે માંદા લોકો સાજા થઈ ગયા અને શેતાનનો અશુદ્ધ આત્મા તેઓને છોડી દેતો.

13 And certain of the Jewish exorcists also, who went about, took in hand to call upon those who had wicked spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preaches.કેટલાએક યહૂદિઓ પણ આજુબાજુ મુસાફરી કરતા અને લોકોમાંથી અશુદ્ધ આત્માઓને બહાર કાઢતા. મુખ્ય યાજક સ્કેવાના સાત પુત્રો આ કરતા. આ યહૂદિઓ લોકોમાંથી અશુદ્ધ આત્માને બહાર કાઢવા માટે પ્રભુ ઈસુના નામનો ઉપયોગ કરતાં.

14 And there were certain [men], seven sons of Sceva, Jewish high priest, who were doing this.તેઓ બધા કહેતાં, “પાઉલ જે ઈસુના વિષે વાત કરે છે તેના જ નામે હું તમને બહાર આવવા આજ્ઞા કરું છું!”

15 But the wicked spirit answering said to them, Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; but *ye*, who are ye?પણ એક વખતે એક શેતાનના અશુદ્ધ આત્માએ આ યહૂદિઓને કહ્યું, “હું ઈસુને જાણું છું અને હું પાઉલ વિષે જાણું છું પણ તમે કોણ છો?”

16 And the man in whom the wicked spirit was leaped upon them, and having mastered both, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.પછી એ માણસ જેનામાં શેતાનનો અશુદ્ધ આત્મા તેની અંદર હતો, તે આ યહૂદિઓ પર કૂદી પડયો. તે તેઓના બધા કરતા વધારે મજબૂત હતો. તેણે તેઓ બધાને માર્યા અને તેઓનાં કપડાં ફાડી નાખ્યા. આ યહૂદિઓ તે ઘરમાંથી નાસી ગયા.

17 And this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who inhabited Ephesus, and fear fell upon all of them, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.એફેસસના બધા લોકો, યહૂદિઓ અને ગ્રીકોએ આ વિષે સાંભળ્યું. તેઓ બધાએ પ્રભુ ઈસુના નામને ખૂબ માન આપવાનું શરૂ કર્યુ. અને લોકોએ પ્રભુ ઈસુનું નામ મોટું મનાવ્યું.

18 And many of those that believed came confessing and declaring their deeds.ઘણા બધા વિશ્વાસીઓએ જે કંઈ ખરાબ વસ્તુઓ કરી હતી તે કહેવાની અને કબૂલ કરવાની શરુંઆત કરી.

19 And many of those that practised curious arts brought their books [of charms] and burnt them before all. And they reckoned up the prices of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.કેટલાક વિશ્વાસીઓએ જાદુનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો. આ વિશ્વાસીઓ તેઓની જાદુઇ ચોપડીઓ લાવ્યા અને સર્વના દેખતાં તેઓને બાળી નાખ્યા; આ પુસ્તકોની કિંમત લગભગ 50,000 ચાંદીના સિક્કા હતી.

20 Thus with might the word of the Lord increased and prevailed.આમ પ્રભુની વાત પરાક્રમથી વધારે ને વધારે લોકોને અસર કરવા લાગી અને વધુ ને વધુ લોકો વિશ્વાસી બન્યા.

21 And when these things were fulfilled, Paul purposed in his spirit to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, After I have been there I must see Rome also.આ બિના બન્યા પછી, પાઉલે યરૂશાલેમ જવાની યોજના કરી. પાઉલે મકદોનિયા તથા અખાયાના પ્રદેશમાં થઈને પછી યરૂશાલેમ જવાની યોજના કરી. પાઉલે વિચાર્યુ, “મારી યરૂશાલેમની મુલાકાત પછી મારે રોમની મુલાકાત લેવી જોઈએ.”

22 And having sent into Macedonia two of those ministering to him, Timotheus and Erastus, he remained himself awhile in Asia.તિમોથી અને એરાસ્તસ પાઉલના મદદગારોમાંના બે હતા. પાઉલે તેઓને મકદોનિયાના પ્રદેશોમાં સીધા મોકલ્યા. પાઉલ એશિયામાં થોડો સમય રહ્યો.

23 And there took place at that time no small disturbance about the way.તે સમય દરમ્યાન એફેસસમાં કેટલીક ખરાબ મુશ્કેલીઓ ઊભી થઈ. આ મુશ્કેલી દેવના માર્ગ વિષે હતી. આ બધું તે રીતે બન્યું.

24 For a certain [man] by name Demetrius, a silver-beater, making silver temples of Artemis, brought no small gain to the artisans;ત્યાં દેમેત્રિયસ નામનો એક માણસ હતો. તે ચાંદીનું હસ્તકલાનું કામ કરતો હતો. તેણે ચાંદીના નાના નમૂનાઓ બનાવ્યાં જે દેવી આર્તિમિસનાં મંદિર જેવા દેખાતા હતા. ગૃહઉધોગના કારીગરે આ વ્યવસાયમાં ઘણા પૈસા બનાવ્યા.

25 whom having brought together, and those who wrought in such things, he said, Men, ye know that our well-living arises from this work,દેમેત્રિયસે કારીગરોની સાથે જેઓ આના સંબંધમાં બીજા વ્યવસાયમાં સંકળાયેલા હતા. તેમને બોલાવ્યા અને કહ્યું, “તમે જાણો છો કે આપણે આપણા ધંધામાંથી ઘણા પૈસા બનાવીએ છીએ.

26 and ye see and hear that this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great crowd, not only of Ephesus, but almost of all Asia, saying that they are no gods which are made with hands.પરંતુ આ માણસ પાઉલ શું કરે છે તે જુઓ! તે શું કહે છે તે સાંભળો. પાઉલે ઘણા લોકોને પ્રભાવિત કરીને તેઓનું પરિવર્તન કરાવ્યું છે. તેણે એફેસસમાં અને આખા એશિયામા આ કર્યુ છે. પાઉલ કહે છે માણસોએ બનાવેલા દેવો ખરા નથી.

27 Now not only there is danger for us that our business come into discredit, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis be counted for nothing, and that her greatness should be destroyed whom the whole of Asia and the world reveres.આ વસ્તુઓ જે પાઉલ કહે છે તે આપણા કામની વિરૂદ્ધમાં લોકોને ઉશ્કેરીને બદલશે. પણ ત્યાં પણ બીજી એક સમસ્યા છે. લોકો વિચારવાનું શરૂ કરશે કે મહાન દેવી આર્તિમિસનું મંદિર મહત્વનું નથી! તેની મહાનતાનો નાશ થશે. આર્તિમિસ એક દેવી છે જેને આશિયામાં (એશિયા) પ્રત્યેક જણ તથા આખી દુનિયા તેની પૂજા કરે છે.”

28 And having heard [this], and being filled with rage, they cried out, saying, Great [is] Artemis of the Ephesians.જ્યારે આ માણસોએ આ બાબતો સાંભળી. તેઓ ઘણા ગુસ્સે થયા. તેઓએ પોકાર કર્યો. “આર્તિમિસ, એફેસીઓની દેવી, મહાન છે!”

29 And the [whole] city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one accord to the theatre, having seized and carried off with [them] Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, fellow-travellers of Paul.શહેરના બધા લોકો બેચેન બન્યા, લોકોએ ગાયસ તથા અરિસ્તાર્ખસને જકડી લીધા. (તે બે માણસો મકદોનિયાના હતા અને પાઉલની સાથે મુસાફરી કરતા હતા) પછી બધાજ લોકો અખાડામાં દોડી ગયા.

30 But Paul intending to go in to the people, the disciples suffered him not;પાઉલની ઈચ્છા અંદર જઈને લોકોની સાથે વાતો કરવાની હતી. પરંતુ ઈસુના શિષ્યોએ તેને જવા દીધો નહિ.

31 and some of the Asiarchs also, who were his friends, sent to him and urged him not to throw himself into the theatre.દેશના કેટલાક મુખ્ય આગેવાનો પણ પાઉલના મિત્રો હતા. આ આગેવાનોએ તેને એક સંદેશો મોકલ્યો. તેઓએ પાઉલને અખાડામાં ન જવા માટે વિનંતી કરી.

32 Different persons therefore cried out some different thing; for the assembly was tumultuous, and the most did not know for what cause they had come together.કેટલાક લોકો કંઈ બૂમ પાડતા હતા તો બીજા લોકો કંઈ બૂમ પાડતા હતા. તે સભામાં મુંઝવણ હતી. મોટા ભાગના લોકો તો જાણતા જ નહોતા કે તેઓ શા માટે ત્યાં આવ્યા છે.

33 But from among the crowd they put forward Alexander, the Jews pushing him forward. And Alexander, beckoning with his hand, would have made a defence to the people.તે યહૂદિઓએ આલેકસાંદર નામના માણસને લોકો સમક્ષ ઊભો કર્યો. લોકોએ તેને શું કરવું તે કહ્યું. આલેકસાંદરે હાથ હલાવ્યો. કારણ કે તે લોકોને પ્રત્યુત્તર આપવા ઇચ્છતો હતો.

34 But, recognising that he was a Jew, there was one cry from all, shouting for about two hours, Great [is] Artemis of the Ephesians.પરંતુ જ્યારે લોકોએ જોયું કે આલેકસાંદર એક યહૂદિ હતો. તેઓ બધાએ બે કલાક સુધી આ જ બૂમો પાડવાનું ચાલું રાખ્યું. તે લોકોએ કહ્યું, “એફેસીઓના આર્તિમિસની જે! એફેસીઓના આર્તિમિસની જે! આર્તિમિસની જે...!”

35 And the townclerk, having quieted the crowd, said, Ephesians, what man is there then who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of Artemis the great, and of the [image] which fell down from heaven?પછી શહેરના નગરશેઠે લોકોને શાંત કર્યા અને કહ્યું, ‘એફેસસના માણસો, બધા લોકો જાણે છે કે એફેસસ એવું શહેર છે જ્યાં મહાન દેવી આર્તિમિસનું મંદિર છે. બધા લોકો જાણે છે કે અમે પણ તેણીનો પવિત્ર પથ્થર રાખીએ છીએ.

36 These things therefore being undeniable, it is necessary that ye should be calm and do nothing headlong.કોઇ વ્યક્તિ કહી શકશે નહિ કે આ સાચું નથી. તેથી તમારે શાંત થવું જોઈએ. તમારે બંધ કરવું જોઈએ અને તમે કંઈ કરો તે પહેલા વિચારવું જોઈએ.

37 For ye have brought these men, [who are] neither temple-plunderers, nor speak injuriously of your goddess.“તમે આ માણસોને લાવ્યા છો, પણ તેઓએ આપણી દેવીની વિરૂદ્ધ કશુંજ ખરાબ કર્યુ નથી. તેઓએ દેવીના મંદિરમાંથી કશુંય ચોર્યુ પણ નથી.

38 If therefore Demetrius and the artisans who [are] with him have a matter against any one, the courts are being held, and there are proconsuls: let them accuse one another.આપણી પાસે ન્યાયના ન્યાયાલયો છે અને ત્યાં ન્યાયાધીશો હોય છે. માટે જો દેમેત્રિયસને તથા તેની સાથેના હસ્તકલાના કારીગરોને કોઇને ઉપર કંઈ ફરીયાદ કરવી હોય તો અદાલત ખુલ્લી છે. તે એ છે જ્યાં તેઓ એકબીજા સામે આક્ષેપો મૂકી શકે છે.

39 But if ye inquire anything concerning other matters, it will be settled in the regular assembly.“શું એવું બીજું કશું છે જેના વિષે તારી વાત કરવાની ઈચ્છા હોય? તો પછી લોકોની નિયમિત ભરાતી શહેરની સભામાં આવો. ત્યાં તેનો નિર્ણય થશે.

40 For also we are in danger to be put in accusation for sedition for this [affair] of to-day, no cause existing in reference to which we shall be able to give a reason for this concourse.હું આ કહું છું કારણ કે કેટલીએક વ્યક્તિઓ આજે આ બનાવ જોઈ શકે છે અને કહેશે અમે હુલ્લડ કરીએ છીએ. અમે ધાંધલ ધમાલને સમજાવી શકતા નથી. કારણ કે આ સભા ભરવા માટે કોઇ સાચું કારણ નથી.”

41 And having said these things, he dismissed the assembly.શહેરના નગરશેઠે આ વાતો કહ્યા પછી, તેણે લોકોને ઘરે જવા કહ્યું અને બધા લોકોએ વિદાય લીધી.
