પણ પાઉલ તથા બાર્નાબાસે ઘણી હિંમત રાખીને કહ્યું, તેઓએ કહ્યું, “અમારે પ્રથમ તમને યહૂદિઓને દેવના વચનો કહેવા જોઈએ. પણ તમે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળવાની ના પાડી. તમે તમારી જાતે ખોવાઇ જાઓ છો, અનંતજીવન પામવાને તમે પોતાને અયોગ્ય ઠરાવો છો! તેથી અમે હવે બીજા રાષ્ટ્રોના લોકો પાસે જઈશું.
