પછી યહોયાદા યાજકે એક મોટી પેટી બનાવડાવી, તેના ઢાંકણામાં કાણું પડાવ્યું અને તેણે એ પેટીને મંદિરના પ્રવેશદ્વાર પાસે બલિદાનની વેદીની જમણી બાજુએ મૂકાવી. મંદિરના દરવાજે કામ કરતા યાજકો લોકો મંદિરમાં જે કોઈ પૈસા લાવતા તે બધાં તે પેટીમાં નાખતા.
