1 Samuel 2
27 દેવના એક માંણસે એલીની પાસે આવીને કહ્યું, “આ યહોવાનાં વચન છે; ‘જયારે તારા પિતૃઓ ફારુનનાં ગુલામ હતાં, ત્યારે મેં તેને દર્શન આપ્યા હતાં.
28 ઇસ્રાએલના બધા કુળોમાંથી મેઁ તમાંરા કુળને માંરા યાજકો તરીકે, અર્પણો અર્પણ કરવા માંટે, અને વેદી ઉપર ધૂપ બાળવા માંટે અને યાજકને પહેરવાનો ખાસ ઝભ્ભો પહેરવા માંટે પસંદ કર્યું. ઇસ્રાએલીઓ મને જે અર્પણો અર્પણ કરે છે તેમાંથી મેઁ તારા કુળસમૂહને માંસ લેવા દીધું.
29 તું એ અર્પણોને અને ભેટોને કેમ માંન નથી આપતો? તું માંરા કરતાં તારા પુત્રોને શા માંટે વધુ માંન-સન્માંન આપે છે? માંરા લોકોએ અર્પણ કરેલાં બલિદાનોમાંથી તમને ઉત્તમ ભાગ મળે છે અને તે ખાઇને પુષ્ટ બન્યા છો.’
30 “ઇસ્રાએલના દેવે ભૂતકાળમાં એવું વચન આપ્યું હતું કે, તારુ કુટુંબ કાયમ માંટે માંરી સેવામાં રહેશે,પરંતુ તેવું કદી નહિ બને! લોકો મને માંન આપશે તો હું તેમને માંન આપીશ, પરંતુ લોકો જો માંરી અવજ્ઞા કરશે, તો હું એમની અવજ્ઞા કરીશ.
31 જો, હવે એવો દિવસ આવી રહ્યો છે, જયારે હું તારા કુટુંબના અને કૂળના બધા વંશજોને માંરી નાખીશ, જેથી તારા કુટુંબમાં કોઇ ઘડપણ જોવા પામશે નહિ.
32 ઇસ્રાએલ સાથે સારી ઘટનાઓ ઘટશે પણ તમે તમાંરા ઘરમાં ખોટી ઘટનાઓ જોશો, પણ તારા કુટુંબમાં હવે પછી કોઈ કદાપિ ઘડપણ જોવા નહિ પામે,
33 પણ હું તારા વંશજોમાંથી એકને જીવતો રહેવા દઈશ અને તે યાજક અને સેવક તરીકે માંરી સેવા કરશે, એની આંખો નબળી થશે ત્યાં સુધી તે જીવશે. તે ઘરડો, અને બહુ નબળો થઇ જશે. પરંતુ તારા કુટુંબના બધા લોકો કમોતે મૃત્યુ પામશે.
34 તારા બે પુત્રો હોફની અને ફીનહાસ બંને એક જ દિવસે મૃત્યુ પામશે, અને એમના હાલ જોઈને તને ખાત્રી થશે કે માંરું કહ્યું સાચું પડવાનું છે.
35 હું માંરા માંટે એક વિશ્વાસુ યાજક પસંદ કરીશ. તે માંરી આજ્ઞાનું પાલન કરશે. હું તેને માંટે સ્થિર ઘર બાંધીશ. જે કાયમ માંરા અભિષિકત રાજાની સમક્ષ સેવા કરશે.
27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?
28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.
32 And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.
33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.
34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

29 તું એ અર્પણોને અને ભેટોને કેમ માંન નથી આપતો? તું માંરા કરતાં તારા પુત્રોને શા માંટે વધુ માંન-સન્માંન આપે છે? માંરા લોકોએ અર્પણ કરેલાં બલિદાનોમાંથી તમને ઉત્તમ ભાગ મળે છે અને તે ખાઇને પુષ્ટ બન્યા છો.’
Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30 “ઇસ્રાએલના દેવે ભૂતકાળમાં એવું વચન આપ્યું હતું કે, તારુ કુટુંબ કાયમ માંટે માંરી સેવામાં રહેશે,પરંતુ તેવું કદી નહિ બને! લોકો મને માંન આપશે તો હું તેમને માંન આપીશ, પરંતુ લોકો જો માંરી અવજ્ઞા કરશે, તો હું એમની અવજ્ઞા કરીશ.

31 જો, હવે એવો દિવસ આવી રહ્યો છે, જયારે હું તારા કુટુંબના અને કૂળના બધા વંશજોને માંરી નાખીશ, જેથી તારા કુટુંબમાં કોઇ ઘડપણ જોવા પામશે નહિ.

32 ઇસ્રાએલ સાથે સારી ઘટનાઓ ઘટશે પણ તમે તમાંરા ઘરમાં ખોટી ઘટનાઓ જોશો, પણ તારા કુટુંબમાં હવે પછી કોઈ કદાપિ ઘડપણ જોવા નહિ પામે,
