1 Peter 3 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 In like manner, ye wives, `be' in subjection to your won husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives;તે જ રીતે પત્નીઓએ પતિઓની સત્તાને સ્વીકારવી જોઈએ. તેથી જો તમારામાંના કેટલાએક પતિઓ દેવની સુવાર્તાને અનુસરવા ના પાડે, તો તેઓને અનુસરવા સમજાવી શકાય. તમારે કંઈજ કહેવાની જરુંર નથી. તેઓ પોતાની સ્ત્રીઓના આચરણથી સમજી શકશે.

2 beholding your chaste behavior `coupled' with fear.દેવ પ્રત્યેના સન્માન સાથે તમે જે જીવન જીવો છો તે તમારા પતિઓ જોશે.

3 Whose `adorning' let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on apparel;તમારો બાહ્ય શણગાર કલાત્મક રીતે ગુંથેલા કેશ, સોનાના ઘરેણાંનો કે સુંદર વસ્ત્રોનો એવો ના હોય.

4 but `let it be' the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible `apparel' of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.ના! તમારી સુંદરતા તો એવી હોવી જોઈએ જે તમારા અંત:કરણમાંથી આવતી હોય. નમ્ર અને શાંત આત્માની આ સુંદરતા કદી અદશ્ય નહિ થાય. તે દેવ માટે ઘણીજ મૂલ્યવાન છે.

5 For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:ઘણા વખત પહેલા દેવને અનુસરનારી પવિત્ર નારીઓ સાથે પણ આમ જ હતું. એજ રીતે તેમણે તેઓની જાતને સુંદર બનાવી હતી અને તેમના પતિઓની સત્તાને તેમણે સ્વીકારી હતી.

6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose children ye now are, if ye do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.હું સારા જેવી સ્ત્રીની વાત કરું છું. તે પોતાના પતિ ઈબ્રાહિમને આજ્ઞાંકિત રહી અને તેને પોતાનો સ્વામી ગણ્યો. અને જો તમે હંમેશા યોગ્ય વર્તન કરો અને ભયભીત ન બનો તો તમે પણ સારાનાં સાચાં સંતાન છો.

7 Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with `your wives' according to knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.તે જ રીતે તમારે પતિઓએ પણ તમારી પત્નીઓ સાથે સમજણપૂર્વક રહેવું જોઈએ. તમારી પત્નીઓ પ્રત્યે તમારે માન દર્શાવવું જોઈએ. તેઓ તમારા કરતાં નબળું પાત્ર છે. પરંતુ જે દેવના આશીર્વાદ તમને લભ્ય છે તે તેઓને પણ લભ્ય છે, અને એ કરૂણા પણ જે તમને સાચું જીવન બક્ષે છે. આમ કરો કે જેથી તમારી પ્રાર્થનામાં કોઈ મુશ્કેલી ઊભી નહિ થાય.

8 Finally, `be' ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:તેથી તમારે બધાએ ઐક્ય ભાવથી રહેવું જોઈએ. અને એક બીજાને સમજવાનો અને ભાઈની જેમ અકબીજાને પ્રેમ કરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરવો જોઈએ. દયાળુ અને વિનમ્ર બનો.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessing; for hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.એક વ્યક્તિ કે જેણે તમારું ભૂંડું કર્યુ હોય તો તેનો બદલો વાળવા તમે ભૂંડુ ન કરો. તમારા માટે નિંદા કરનારની સામે બદલો વાળવા તમે નિંદા ન કરો. પરંતુ દેવ પાસે તેને માટે આશીર્વાદ માગો. આમ કરો કારણ કે તમને જ આવું કરવા દેવે બોલાવ્યા છે. તેથી જ તમે દેવના આશીર્વાદને પાત્ર બન્યા છો.

10 For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:પવિત્રશાસ્ત્ર કહે છે કે; “જે વ્યક્તિ જીવનને પ્રેમ કરવા માગે છે અને સારા દિવસોનો આનંદ માણવા માગે છે તો તેણે દુષ્ટ બોલવા માટે પોતાની જીભ બંધ કરી દેવી જોઈએ, અને જુઠું બોલવાથી પોતાના હોઠ બંધ કરી દેવા જોઈએ.

11 And let him turn away from evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and pursue it.તે વ્યક્તિએ દુષ્ટ કાર્ય કરવાં ન જોઈએ અને સત્કર્મ કરવાં જોઈએ; તેણે શાંતિની શોધ કરવી જોઈએ અને તે પ્રાપ્ત કરવા પ્રયત્ન કરવો જોઈએ.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And his ears unto their supplication: But the face of the Lord is upon them that do evil.પ્રભુની નજર સારા લોકો પર હોય છે, અને દેવ તેઓની પ્રાથૅનાઓ સાંભળે છે; પરંતુ દેવ દુષ્ટતા કરનારની વિરૂદ્ધ છે.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 34:12-16

13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be zealous of that which is good?જો તમે હંમેશા સત્કર્મને સમર્પિત હો તો કોઇ પણ વ્યક્તિ તમને નુકસાન પહોંચાડી શકશે નહિ.

14 But even if ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed `are ye:' and fear not their fear, neither be troubled;પરંતુ સત્કર્મ કરવા છતાં પણ તમારે દુ:ખ સહન કરવું પડે. જો આમ થાય તો તમને ધન્ય છે. તમને દુ:ખી કરનાર લોકોથી ગભરાશો નહિ કે મુશ્કેલી અનુભવશો નહિ.

15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: `being' ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:પરંતુ ખ્રિસ્તને તમારા પ્રભુ તરીકે તમારા હ્રદયમાં પવિત્ર માનો. તમારી આશા માટે સંદેહ કરે તેને પ્રત્યુત્તર આપવા હંમેશા તૈયાર રહો.

16 having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ.પરંતુ તમારો પ્રત્યુત્તર વિનમ્ર અને માનસહિત હોવો જોઈએ. તમે હંમેશા સારું કરો છો તેવી લાગણી અનુભવવા માટે સાર્મથ્યવાન બનો. તમે જ્યારે આમ કરશો ત્યારે, તમારા માટે ખરાબ બોલનાર લોકો શરમાશે. ખ્રિસ્તમાંની તમારી સારી ચાલની તેઓ નિંદા કરે છે અને તેથી તમારા વિષે ખરાબ માટે તેઓ શરમાશે.

17 For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.ખરાબ કામ કરી અને સહન કરવું એના કરતાં સારું કામ કરી અને સહન કરવું તે વધારે સારું છે. હા, જો દેવ તમે ઈચ્છતો હોય તો તે વધારે સારું છે.

18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;ખ્રિસ્ત પોતે તમારા માટે મરણ પામ્યો. અને મરણ તે તમારા પાપની એક ચૂકવણી હતી. તે ગુનેગાર નહોતો. પણ ગુનેગાર લોકો માટે તે મરણ પામ્યો. તમને બધાને દેવની નજીક લાવવા તેણે આમ કર્યુ તેનું શરીર મરણ પામ્યું, પરંતુ આત્મા દ્ધારા તે સજીવન થયો.

19 in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison,તે કારાવાસમાં ગયો અને આત્માઓને આત્મામાં ઉપદેશ કર્યો.

20 that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:તે એ આત્માઓ હતા કે જેમણે ઘણો વખત પહેલા એટલે કે નૂહના સમયમાં દેવની અવજ્ઞા કરનારા હતા. જ્યારે નૂહ વહાણ બાંધી રહ્યો હતો ત્યારે દેવ ધીરજપૂર્વક રાહ જોઈ રહ્યો હતો. તે વહાણમાં માત્ર થોડાક જ લોકોને બચાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. તેઓ આઠ જણ હતા. તે લોકો પાણીથી બચાવી લેવાયા.

21 which also after a true likeness doth now save you, `even' baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;એ દષ્ટાત પ્રમાણે તે પાણી બાપ્તિસ્મા સમાન છે જે તમને અત્યારે બચાવે છે. બાપ્તિસ્મા એ શરીરનો મેલ દૂર કરવાની પ્રક્રિયા નથી. બાપ્તિસ્મા તો ઈશ્વર પાસે શુદ્ધ હ્રદય માટેની એક યાચના છે. તે તમને બચાવે છે કારણ કે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત મૂએલામાંથી પુનરૂત્થાન પામ્યો હતો.

22 who is one the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.હવે, ઈસુ આકાશમાં ગયો છે. તે દેવની જમણી બાજુએ છે. તે દૂતો, અધિકારીઓ, અને પરાક્રમીઓ પર રાજ કરે છે.
